Just been watching the Killi match on BCWorld.

Woolford looked spritely, and I would not be surprised to see him come good this year. A proper pre season, and an extra year to acclimatise to living south of Sheffield could make a big difference. I can also see him getting a chance in the middle and forward, because we dont seem to have bagged Buzsaky. Either Woolford OR Anderson in the hole or as a creative midfielder.

I think we still look woeful in central defence though, as illustrated by the present made to Killmarnock for one of their goals.
Our whole season hinges on getting in a solid and accomplished central defender as quickly as possible, and on that defender hitting and maintaining peak form. I would go back for the two fellas we had last year.
The jury is still out on Heaton, and he will need to present a much stronger presence to keep out The Gerk

Adomah took his goal majestically, but then I wouldn't expect anything else.
    Pray we keep him

Isn't it nice to start the run in for the season with some positivity for a change rickster? I think we may be presently surprised by what we see on the pitch this season, and I think Derek has been going about his business quietly and efficiently to produce a squad that will not be overwhelmed. In previous seasons a lack of fanfare from the management usually meant that nothing had or would happen except putting a sign on the M4 and M5 saying that decent players were required - please apply at Ashton Gate.

Sarcasm aside, I do believe strongly that Derek will get it right, perhaps not right away, and turf out the ne'er do wells in pretty quick fashion and replace them with committed players as required. Keep up the good work Derek and my only question is "What happened to the Buzsaky deal?" Perhaps you could see that he really wasn't committed to our cause and you sent him on his way with a flea in his ear and if that is somewhere close to the truth I only have one comment - RIGHT ON!

As I mentioned elsewhere, we struggled a bit to beat them, but Fleetwood Town beat them 4-0.

I'm not surprised: Fleetwood Town are excellent.
Dark horses for the Premiership I dare say

Its pre-season, and results matter very little until The Big Day

I hope we will see Baldock signing later this week and perhaps Davies as a swap for Pitman, then hopefully a central defender.

Plus If you google Buzsaky News, we are the last club to be interested in him. I'm not sure if this is dead in the water as some think. Maybe he came to us failed a medical or something told to go away for a few weeks and then re assess it. I don't know, but you would of thought someone would of snapped him up by now if all was well.

Then I think we will be ready to go!

Also I heard we played a full strength Killie, did Fleetwood play the same team or their reserves?

From what I heard on the radio it was their first team squad with a trialist, although it was said the 4-0 result flattered them a bit.

It's still quite worrying that we'd let two slip past us when Fleetwood can keep them out and score four past them.

Dunny 0 City 2, and we are looking sharp, confident and a little dangerous.
Slightly dangerous at the back also, so there is still a need for that centre-back

The two goals were quite special, and I particularly like the clean strike of Pitman's
That is 3 delicious goals scored on this mini tour, and Pitman, Stead, Woolford and Adomah look a handful.
