NO! Not about my drunken ramblings!

Following on from the Derry Pele debate.

The Echo stated that ours (Sunderland City) is one of the largest Armistice gatherings outside London.

Pardon my ignorance, but can anyone tell me why this is?

    Sorry I have to ask.

It's just the way it has grown over the years mate..I think with the Cenotaph being in the heart of the city has helped.
There was absolutely thousands there yesterday, and I was speaking to stacks of military lads, past and present in the town last night..

Just thought there would be more to it than that, Mr White.

The NE in general has always answered the call and have every right to be proud of their military contributions.
