Any one ever read The Merchant of Venice.. Worth a read even if it's only for one of it's fabulous characters, Slylock, the antagonistic Jewish money lender. 'Hell is empty and all the devils are here.' A cruce salus
Love the St Crispin's day speech from Heney V ... reminds me of going to Millwall in the cup in the early 1980s
Shakespeare's stories are gash. He invented a lot of words that are know used in modern language, but other than that, I find his stories dull as ****.
Apparently Shakespeare copied others works and passed them as his own A google cut and paste like someone we know
Hamlet and Othello dull ... a modern interpretation could be raunchier than Basic Instinct .... indeed, Game Of Thrones has many Shalespearian echoes
I am sure it has. I am sure a lot of 70's rock music had inspirations from people like Elvis (who, imo, is utter ****e). I am willing to acknowledge the contributions that these precursors to greatness made in advancing their respective fields, but I dont find them entertaining in the least. For example, go back and play the First Grand Theft Auto game.......yuck
Elvis ****e ... you will likely be condemned to rot for what will feel like an eternity in the 9 circles of Hell.. or as they are known collectively ... Milton Keynes
Probably. He just doesnt do it for me musically, his voice is mediocre and easily imitated and his guitar playing, by all accounts was hardly expert level, he was just a good looking dude who was the first one to thrust his pelvis on TV and make the girls cream their knickers. Not a big Beatles fan either. Now the Rolling Stones.....they were a ****ing awesome band.
What light through yonder window shines **** off its your bedroom window, electricity hasn't been invented, its not the ****ing candle, its the sun, you lazy bastard
ERM im quoting Shakespeare on a thread about Shakespeare get this stones and Beatles ****e outta here @brb sort em out mate
It was very charitable of them. The Stones are good but they’ve also churned out some absolute ****e over the years. They should have knocked it on the head decades ago. Personally I don’t get how anyone can not rate The Beatles but it’s all down to personal taste.
