Taking everything into consideration, I have to say I have been mighty impressed with the young man.
Lovely pair of feet and how nice to see a SUNDERLAND player leaving you wanting more!
If he gets his shooting boots sorted we have a potential superstar on our hands IMHO.

I have been lucky enough to see some great ball players in my time, Best, Marsh, Bowles and of course Giggs, not forgetting our favourite Geordie looper Gazza.
Now I'm not saying he is as good as these gentlemen, but bloody hell the potential looks there.
I never saw Shack play, but my old man used to rave about him.

Anyone prod my memory with another SAFC player with feet as good as his?

Your sole threat when you played us.

Gyan was useless , had my heart in my mouth every time Sessegnon came anywhere near our penalty area though.

Gyan is going through a rough period, but I'm sure he will come out of soon enough..

Sess was on fire & although he didn’t find the net in this match, he WILL achieve this season, mark my words.

Sess is good, but he's not our answer to a striker with Gyan.

We have no l/w to speak off, so put him out there and let him cause carnage, and support two forwards from there.

Spot on Comm, he can cause some real damage out on the left cutting in and as you say, supporting the strikers so it leaves the question, Where is the Darren Bent replacement?

I agree we have to fit him into a 4-4-2. Larssen has to play on the right so for me sess goes left, starting at brighton. Then its up to ji and wickham to fight it out to partner gyan. I'm still hoping for kranjcar and or bellamy

6m is a snip and just goes to show there are class players in france, germany, spain, italy who won't break the bank. I fully believe the answer to pur lw and st problems can be found in those leagues

Agree 100% mate if we dont get a LW Play Sess on the wing.

But IMO we still need 3 players in this transfer window.

    FWD
    LW
    LB

Also at the minute Gyan will be picked to play every week if we get another Forward in it puts a bit pressure on Gyan to play better.

For me, Sess is the answer to the left wing problem.

He had several attempts on Saturday, often after picking the ball up out left and drifting inside.

He always wants the ball, and always wants to run with it, so playing him up top wastes a wee bit of this talent.

Sess left, Gardner & Catts/Colback, with Larsson right.

Gyan & Ji/Whickham, give them games or they will take longer to find their feet.

Gardner's short passing is very tidy and often incisive, he and Sess could combine superbly in midfield IMO.

I said elsewhere about Colback at LB to bring in the other midfielders.
Not saying Colback was bad in midfield I was very impressed to be honest.
But I was mightily impressed with him at LB for the short time he was there, no stupid free kicks and watched the ball.
And he is more than capable of passing the ball to Sess's feet up the left wing.

I again have to agree about Sess playing him off Gyan doesn't work, a couple of his ground shots were badly scuffed if I'm being honest, when the ball was under his feet.
But running with the ball then launching it, looked as though he could have scored on a couple of occasions.
