I would have predicted us to win next Saturday's match, it is time our luck changed and now it does seem that things are moving off the field. At home and with many other fans supporting our cause I think HP will be "busy" BUT with no Fletch (the only player that looked like scoring yesterday) and the fact he is a leader out there I just can't see where a goal is going to come from. I understand the frustration surrounding the players but getting himself sent off was the worst thing he could have done yesterday, effectively it's another nail in the coffin of league football for us. So who will captain us for the next 3 matches? Larriou seems the obvious choice but there is only so much you can do from the goal area. Who else - Walton? Puleese! Hopefully the players will be paid at the end of the month and maybe Reidy will be able to bring a few players in on loan otherwise I fear we are doomed.
if james brent takes over he must sack ridsdale anr reinstate peter reid. once the finance is settled the players will start winning again. on a lighter note, arsene w may be free soon
I don't honestly think PR will come back now, surely he can now look for something where he actually gets paid and perhaps even appreciated.
Never assume BUT - who IF anybody did Ridsdale get the ULTIMATE ok to do this dastardly deed??? Heaney, Brent or by himself?? Interesting no??
Neither I suspect. The only proxy owner we have at the moment is the Administrators. Ridsdale is Acting Chairman in charge of football matters therefore perhaps he only had to mention it to the Admin but took the decision all by himself. The biggest question is who in their right mind would want to come in as Manager right now. That is why they are saying "internal" cause it sure as hell won't be external. There will be no coaches either as Peter Reid's brother isn't likely to hang around.
Having had time to digest this I'm struggling to see what Ridsdale has to gain from this. Usually chairmen sack managers to appease the fans when they are calling for his head. We all know that Reid hasn't had a chance from the start - he didn't even have time to assemble his own squad for the 2010/11 season and since then it's been trying to find players who will play for nothing whilst anyone who was any good was being sold. Sorry if all that states the obvious. With Heaney's bid now dead in the water I haven't heard that Brent or any other potential bidder sees a role for Ridsdale at HP. So what's his hidden agenda?
Now that greens is a very good question indeed. When you think that we are bottom of the league with no wins and the supporters generally are not calling for a manager's head then this must be something quite unique in football. There will always be some who wanted him sacked but they were very few. I also have not heard that Brent, IF he takes over has a job for Ridsdale then you wonder at the very question you ask. I can't see Brent wanting somebody to run the club who is hated by everyone there and on the terraces. It just wouldn't make any sense.
I have just emailed him with some questions, had a response almost immediately stating he was currently driving to Plymouth but would give a full response on arrival.
There is a twitter campaign to get Peter Reid's medal back for him ! Someone should report Dickdale to the police texting and driving at the same time tut tut
As I was asking - WHO??? Hopefully JB is on his way to headbutt Ridsdale and run him out of town. Peace
I agree Sensible and generally this action is going to make him even more unpopular. The plot thickens......
