Didn't realise he was married to Sally Geeson. Not quite as good as Judy but would still have got one at the time.

    Didn’t know that either.

When I think of her though, I, unfortunately, also think of that bell-end Robin Askwith.

How was he regarded back-in-the-day? As a little **** I hope.

Talking to a girl on the south coast of France
She was on an 18-30 but I still took a chance
But on the last night ‘neath the stars of Marseilles
She said that Robin Askwith was funny

Oh god how I longed for a dangerous wave
So I could surf myself towards an early grave
I would rather talk to plankton than to dance with you
    I hope your plane back home’s a DC-10

Out of pure curiosity I dug up Logie Baird
And I asked him what petrified forests see
To make them all so scared

EDIT: Sorry just seen what thread this is. I'll put my Albert Hammond Bootleg back in the house.

Went to Spain in 1973. Everywhere you went you heard this. Funny that a song about California brings back memories of Spain.

Sad to hear of the passing of Charles Bradley, aka the screaming eagle of soul.

    Taken by cancer...the **** it.

By all accounts he had a bloody tough life before finally fulfilling his dreams in his sixties.

Never heard of him until today. Bloody great clip and leads me to explore more. Too bad I was unaware of him when he was alive. Thanks for sharing. ktf

Yep. For me it's like discovering one of the legends of soul that had somehow past you by.

I'd recommend to anyone watch the documentary soul of America.

Can't tell you how many times I got grit in my eyes watching it.
