White is a two-faced **** stirring git, I hope he doesn't read this as he may play the mental health card, again.
OK so employ a bloke to keep us up, he manages that despite the disruption of injuries, and polishing the turd that remained and now theres consideration to get rid ? Just wtf
Acun needs to start taking it seriously or sell up. This season should have been a warning, we were so close to disaster and if the same mistakes are repeated there is a very good chance we won't be as lucky next time.
Changing manager/headcoach again would suicidal. He kept us up job done. Now can we have a sensible transfere window please.
If Farke becomes available Acun should get him. He just got Leeds promoted on 100 points, that is the sort of managerial experience City have needed since McCann was sacked over 3 years ago.
People online are morons, never, ever trust someone who comes out with that ****! It’s like me going on a Leeds board & shouting how they need to sack Farke, although that might actually happen if rumours are to be believed!
Posters will know im in the Selles out camp. I fully understand everyones want/ need of continuity, but from my side of the fence today is a day of relief... in 26 games he's never won 2 games together whilst others around us did and just to remind people we were a Charlie Hughes header from League 1. Sure we had injuries, others did too, but for me, post international break we were clueless. Strange selections, stranger substitutions, far too safe. Of course we could have had Robbins and Stoke just got away with it, same with Eustace at Derby. The question I would ask everyone is the same question the incumbent owner will ask. 'Were you entertained'. Maybe as someone has posted it was the same in his first season at Reading, but they have not fallen off a cliff after he left and in fact you could say they improved, just missing out on the play offs. He's done his job, absolutely no doubt, but I dont think senior management expected goal difference to save us. I suppose what I am saying is, 'if' he is given the chance to carry on, has a full pre season and we dont see that attacking prowess (even with additions and returnees) to go with a consistent defence and after 12 games or so we have a mirror of this awful season are we not better at getting it right from Day 1 and maybe thats what is being discussed.
Very fortunate but got over the line. Not overly convinced by selles but depends who we bring in, why do people think we’ve got any chance bringing Farke in
I'm hoping he stays, he's a really nice guy and works extremely hard. I think we would see a totally different style from him next season if he had better attacking players. He knew we were terrible going forward so kept things tight at the back to try and be solid. We were terrible before he came in and we had better players then.
i dont think we have any chance of bringing farke in he's just the only manager i would swap selles for im selles in (apart from farke, in very small writing )
I wouldn’t be gutted either way, if Ruben goes, thank him for keeping us up, although we’ve lacked an identity at times, especially the last month, and dare I say we dominated games more under Tim, despite being more vulnerable out of possession. If he stays, I wouldn’t be gutted either - there’s potential given more time, signings and an environment that’s not chaotic and riddled with the threat of relegation, we might become a more attractive team, but there’s not been too many signs of that up to this point. Either way, I hope it’s decided soon and we start the pre-season with a plan, and less uncertainty than last time round.
i think people are forgetting just how WOEFUL we were prior to selles coming in we were bottom of the league, we were losing game after game after game we made a seemingly fantastic signing in matazo, who was just what we needed in midfield and a young but very exciting pacy winger.. both got season ending injuries in the same week i have big question marks on joseph, that's a lot of money for a player i dont think is ready for championship football but its clear selles realised, we firstly need to stop losing games, but realistically and statisically we are the worse attacking team in the championship, no teams scored less goals than us i dont think its down to the manager solely, the squad we have had available over the last 3 months, had no goals in it.. theyve never had goals in it, only kamara and pedro have even scored more than 5 goals in a season in their past.. maybe crooks too. but he was a cheap signing who struggled a bit too much with fitness still popped up with 3 crucial goals mind if we just went out and tried to play fast attacking football with the players we had, we would just get beaten too often sometimes you have to play the sum of your parts and thats what selles did some fine margins could have gone for or against us but i personally have faith in him. unless farke wants to come. then im farke in and selles out
I think it's absolutely ridiculous to be even talking about sacking Selles. He's kept us up, his points per game has us 12th which is an enormous improvement on where we were when he took over. He is not remotely the problem, he has been the solution. The biggest problem we've had is sacking good managers. I find it hard to comprehend that anyone could still think that what this club needs is to sack another manager.
