Have to say that when our ground is full to the rafters then the atmosphere is electric and definitely benefits the team I believe. So why again are there tickets still available in the upper and lower loft ( members and family stand ) for next saturdays game. Surely members would have got their tickets by now as they have been on sale for weeks. All the rest of the ground is sold out , so why not put these remaining tickets on general sale or at least to people with client refs. I know it should'nt bother me but it really does , we want the club to grow and have a larger fanbase but potentially we are shutting people out without selling out ! Someone at the club needs to take a look as revenue opportunity being missed also if there are empty seats.
These are hard times and 2 of my mates that normally go don't have the cash at the moment and tbh we have been on TV a lot so it makes sense not to go. Before we knock our gates we must look at why first? . hard times . Being on tv . People still feel let down after what BE and FB did and are just starting to return. . high prices Our gates will grow but being out of the Premiership since 96 has not helped. Give it time and new fans will start coming along.
I'm not knocking the gates at all. What i'm saying is we have 400/500 empty seats for next sat in members only areas. If i am a tourist or QPR fan that just wants to go to the odd game I can't. Whats the point of having empty seats in members only areas when the General publi could purchase.
a lot of people have been priced out and i reckon cos it's quite a big match, we might get a sell-out or at least close, there's still 2 weeks left til the match!
Totally agree with you Rangerw9. I know plenty of people who want to go to a few matches, but aren't prepared to commit to membership or to a season ticket. There should be a cut-off point for selling the members only areas, after which they should go on general sale.
There has been great atmosphere with around 13 - 14000 people in that little stadium so we do not need big numbers at all - just the right people. The membership earns the club some extra money which I do think is well deserved. Unfortunately I can only attend 4 - 5 games per season & travelling costs & membership - good value for money at the superstore but will still attend the games. QPR is one of my major pleasures in life... B.
They are on general now; but with one of Europe's Big 6 down the road your average tourist would choose Chelsea
Surprised after the uter rubbish you spouted last week you have the nerve to turn up here again? However welcome back. I wouldn't mind who took the seats tbh but times are hard for a lot of people at the moment and spending £40-50 on a ticket when its on tv may be a factor in it. As for plastic fans i think we will get a few in years to come but its how they act that counts.
