Keeping the football theme going for a moment........<whistle>

I've seen somewhere that Cala has served his supension and is available for tomorrow. Still not clear on that though.

On that basis, and assuming Pilks and Morro have been signed in time, would you start either, neither or both?

Back 3 from Huds/Morro/Cala/Connelly, with Fabio & Brayford out wide, two up top and three in the middle is one option. In that case, Pilks will probably sit it out, but Morro could start.

Back 4, still with 2 up front could mean they both will. Any thoughts?

Just posted on the Pilkington thread the  for OGS when selecting from his now impressive looking squad.

I doubt anyone could predict his starting line up; he confounded us last season and last friday and I suspect he'll do so every game from now on in.

    My guess for tomorrow is:

    Marshall
    Fabio, Connolly, Hudson, Brayford
    Daehli, Adeyami, Whittingham, Burgstaller
    ALF, Jones

Just on the basis that the new 2 will probably be on the bench, Maynard & Gunnarrsson played mid week but I'll probably be well wide of the mark.

And while we're at it any lottery predictions knocking about.............

I think a back 3 is the future for us, could well see Cala in with Connolly and Huds.

In front of that I'm thinking Adeyami will play with Witts plus another. He likes Daehli, his assist cameo might well put him in the 11. I expect KWJ to be allowed to continue on from a good start. I think Maynard may have played himself out of the team on Wednesday. So if I had to choose I'd say Alf.

    I'd probably go
    4-3-1-2

    Same defence as Blackburn.
    Adeyami, Ralls, Daehli
    Witts
    KWJ ALF

Wouldn't need to be scared if Daehli runs past Witts into the space behind the strikers, but I'd try to reduce as much of the defensive responsibility on Witts as possible.

I'm away for 5 days so I'm missing our first 2 home games, gutted!

I'd go with that lineup Nin.
We've got such a strong squad now - there should be no room for excuses.
I think Ole has done really good business in this window - no fuss just job done.

Its going to be one hell of a challenge to pick a side when all are fit.

Can see a 3-5-2 system being used at home and a 4-4-2 away from home but one thing i can see is goals goals goals <ok>

I hope Daehli is given his chance and steps up consistently.

To hazard any type of guess right now is impossible, we could win/lose, finish top or tenth.

    I don't have a clue

Flew home in Wednesday and will be at the game today. I don't care who plays, we will win! It will be good to see the new look squad in action. Went and got my grandstand ticket about 30 minutes ago. :)

I think today will tell us a lot about Ole and the way he sees things going forward.

It's bound to be an attacking set up for this first at home against what most would see as "one of the teams we should beat" (terrible expression, but ultimately so very true).

Taking anything for granted in this division can be a big, big mistake, but I just hope he picks a set of guys to go out there and play in their best positions and let the system suit them, not the other way around. The way he set it up at Blackburn, it very nearly didn't work. We (he) must learn from that.
