Description of us seemed about 10 years out of date. Maybe he's stuck in the past. Didn't see anything that would entice me to be a regular reader. Watford beat you...regularly...get over it.
Thanks for posting this Mark - I have never read the Secret Footballer before and this has shown me exactly why. Everyone's very polite on this board and most don't throw random insults around so I'll just say he strikes me as a sanctimonious and judgemental plum.
I doubt he'd have played against Ashley Young at Man United... Most people online used to think it's Danny Murphy (maybe that's changed now though).
Just gave it a google and apparently Dave Kitson is the Secret Footballer. People thought it was either Danny Murphy or Kevin Davies before, but Kitson fits the profile.
I'm actually just reading his first book - no mention of Watford at all in it so far. He does give Robbie Savage a bit of stick in it, but still felt like it could be him (thought it might be deflecting) It's a strange piece as half of it is a rant about Ashley Young rather than about us! Just seems to have a grudge about us for some reason, and can't let it go. Comes across as a Daily Mail or Mirror reader/writer...
