This time last year We didn´t quite know, Just what to fear From friend or from foe This time around We´re wiser by far, Which, pound for pound Should help us make par Those who were just Still teething back then, Have tasted the dust And grown into men Such is the way Of this Premier League, Until you have played You don´t know fatigue So having had Our workout last year, Over the new lads We should find one more gear How we will fare Against all the rest, I´d say we will dare To give them a test As we showed them all Bar maybe a few, Last year on the ball As our stock it grew And now with Garrido Our latest recruit, Our own `El Torpedo´ With a mean left boot He´s joining a squad Already strengthened well, If given the nod He´ll shine in the PL So we should sing loud And clear every week, There´s much to be proud Of here, as we speak And the triple ´S´ ´Second season´ thing, As many may stress Certainly won´t bring... .. me a sleepless night As we make our way, With skill and with fight Slowly towards May Hughton and Co Are now settled in, All ready to go With us for a spin Starting today In old London town, Our first game, away Not wholly unknown Remember Wigan And the point we gained, It proved quite a big ´un As then more we claimed So, a good start Whether one point or three, Down in London´s heart Would satisfy me. OTBC Come on you Yellows!
Lovely read RBF, excitement now approaching fever pitch! I reckon no Dempsey just swings the balance in our favour!
RBF, you've just managed to ramp up my excitement an extra notch! Can't wait to get under way now. As you say, this time last year it was a step into the unknown. This season's a different story. It's going to be hard, but with a squad mostly blooded last year and young players who grew as the season went on, plus some good looking new additions, I'm quietly confident for the season. Craven Cottage or not, I think we can pick up all three points today.
Excellent rbf will be following best as I can while lying by the pool We should be ok see Lawro has predicted we will lose 2-1
