Hull City manager Steve Bruce could look to re-sign one of his former players in Sebastian Larsson this January, it has emerged. The Swedish international has previously played for Bruce at both Birmingham City and Sunderland, and could be available this January as he has not always been a regular for the Black Cats this season. Hull are hoping to secure Premier League survival this season after winning promotion from the Championship last term, and hope to add some depth to their squad when the transfer window re-opens. SportsDirect News now understands that Larsson is among Bruce's top targets, as he remains a fan of the 28-year-old's passing ability and technique. Larsson, who started his career at Arsenal, is known for excellent delivery from set pieces and long range shots when at his best, and his top-level experience could also prove crucial for the Tigers this season. However, it remains to be seen if Sunderland will be willing to sell a potentially key player to a relegation rival. http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/pre...nd-hull-eye-move-for-larsson.php#.UqiRXcRdUuc
Could be insurance if we can't sign Livermore. He's great on set pieces too. Sunderland fans were very critical of Elmo too and he became our player of the year...and Meyler wasn't their favourite player. If Bruce likes him I like him.
Tbf, if we signed Elmo and I didn't take into consideration his performances last year, I'd be really disappointed.
Think he's a decent, tidy player who I'd be surprised Sunderland would want to let go. If true, and price is right, he'd add something I think.
This^ it may be a bit cliche, but if SB wants to sign someone, who am i to argue ? Maybe some of the above should consider the same.
Certainly hope not, he has a real lack of fight that our players have had in abundance so far. Very similar to Koran anyway and overrated set pieces, his corners are very poor. Would be very disappointed, sunderland fans are desperate to offload him.
Disagree. He hasn't been his best the past 1-2 seasons, but is still someone I rate, having seen him enough times both in Sunderland/Birmingham/Sweden. Not sure what you mean with "lack of fight". He's probably one of the first players on my list who's gonna dig in and fight to get something out of the game, which includes getting in the refs face He's got some top class free kicks as well. I would probably rather go for Kim Källström in Bruce's shoes however! Unsettled in Russia, quality midfielder.
His quality of play has dropped for sure, but he is trying to make up for it with his work rate, which has been impressive. Could easily rediscover his form and be a good signing for you (or anyone else for that matter), but ATM we wouldn't be particularly upset to see him go. Probably come back and bite us on the arse, as usual, but there it is.
