too many factors involved to mean anything JWM. Off course some of it will be performanced / faith in the club based but loss/ change of jobs and working hours, home commitments and 100's of other factors will come into play.

I don't think so tractorbhoy... Norwich's attendances haven't followed a trend like that. I dread to think what next season's figures would've looked like if we hadn't gone on that run just before season ticket renewal time.

You could be right Lancy, I would say its probably easier spend what spare cash you have if you are confident of seeing something worthwhile which is not always the case at PR but the world has changed a lot in the timespan of JWM figures.

A steady decline of 7,000 over a 10 year period.

I would have expected a steeper decline especially after Keane's first season so I think it shows just how loyal Town fans can be!

The capacity was only 22,000 until a decade ago. People do forget that. 17,000 was a decent crowd in the Premier League in the 90s and for some games we'd get 12,000. Some new fans came from somewhere during Burley's reign and they haven't all disappeared yet.

    Good point Yorkie

Our capacity is 30,500 so at least we are still over half full just! <laugh> Even with 18,500 we are still in the top 5 for attendances in the Championship and our average away support is 1,200 which again is pretty good. Just think how many it would be if the team was challenging for promotion! Talk about missed opportunities and potential. Some people do forget that we aren't a small club in comparison to many in this league and we are bigger than a few in the PL!

I hope to see some good solid signings not big names just hungry players brought in the summer, i was a little surprised to hear PJ say that a striker and Net Custodian are his priority surely CB's are the main target this summer with a RB a close second.

just signed edwards on for another year, no matter what our thoughts on the subject thats rb covered

cb again smith seems to have finally found his feet and delany and sonko are still aroud, striker wise i dont know why thats a priority but is its a younger finisher hes after then its understanable if scotland ends up not signing gk is definatly top of the list

We already have Ronan Murray, who should be given a real chance in pre-season as he has shown he wants to improve by going out on loan. He's already come out and said that he wants to play for us next year, so give him a go. We have some good young players who should be seriously looked at during pre-season. What message would it send to our academy scholars to bring in more young players to fill their positions when they are trying so hard to make the step up themselves?

I can completely understand why some people aren't renewing, JWM it might do you some good to have a break and hopefully things will pick up and you will return with renewed!!

In the latter part of Keanes tenure, I just didn't go although got tempted back for the odd game but regreted going everytime I did because it was just terrible and i genuinely would have preffered to be at home doing nothing, I don't get that feeling quite so much now, although it is very frustrating the lack of progress since ME came in although I would say it is a shame that people's patience has finally run out because I think we have hopefully turned a corner!!

Although season tickets are a big expense, they seem fairly reasonable. Part of the problem why I think we will struggle to attract people in the future is the price of match day tickets, some people who don't neccessarily follow football that much used to come but I don't see that so much now, I think the match day prices put them off and therefore you won't be able to get people hooked!!

I disagree Hamps that a relegation battle would do us good next season, I think it could be the end of us!! I think a top 10 finish would be good however!!

As for attendances, there are many reasons for the differences between us and Norwich, we are different places with a completely different make up, but I agree JWM I was very surprised that the attendances didn't drop further when Keane was here.

I think we will struggle next year and can't see any improvement happening. Honestly don't think we have much money, can't attract decent players and if Jewell doesn't see CB and RB as a priority then we is ****ed!!
