Prediction League Season 2022-23

These number look a bit bizarre because of the double points but I think they're correct. Two individual "12's" for Plym and me for exact scores for Barnsley v Burton, doubled, with jokers. MK Dons winning at Portsmouth was predicted by no-one and Wycombe doing us a favour against Ipswich was expected only by Lyndhurst and Sensible. SMH blew his joker on a postponed match - sorry, I did try to warn you.



Plym's perfect dozen was supplemented by a perfect score prediction for Argyle, propelling him from 5th to 2nd in the table. SMH got the goal time being the only one accurate to within half an hour and then only just.



The next round is on Boxing Day, Monday week in other words, for all teams, except for Bolton and Derby who get an extra day's recovery from the festivities for some reason, presumably involving TV coverage on Tuesday.

As Boxing Day is also World Hangover Day, (sponsored by the Paracetemol Manuacturers Association) we'll dispense with double points and go for standard scoring. We'll then have another blow out on the 29th/30th round of games prior to declaring the result of the half year prediction. Far being it for me to spoil the suspense, but Lyndhurst looks like a nailed on favourite, which isn't good news for me.

Bolton and Derby play out a nil-nil draw giving this result. Not everybody has played 23 games but the top trio have and those are the only ones the Argyle contingent are interested in at present.



Sensible tops the weekly chart with 8 scores from the 12 fixtures, including 2 three-pointers and a scoring joker.

Lyndhurst gets the goal time although as last week, 30 minutes off the actual time. It's paying to go late at present. He also gets the mid-season league position bonus: 6th versus top of the table. Well done that man. We all predicted improvement in the second half of the season: I guess at this point we'll all settle for where we are now.

No further comment on the league table.
