NUFCfans are saying there are reports of Pardew watching PSG v Toulouse tonight, and suggested he might be looking at Erdinc. We were linked with him in summer and Pardew was at a game in France last weekend, he sounded like a good signing then and if it has Carr's recommendation then worth a shot IMO.

I've said I'd like us to get a proven striker and a gamble recommended by the scouts for less money. Which players (more likely strikers) outside the PL would you like us to go for (if any)?

Getting the right player at the right price would be good.

Some good players in france, most of them are more techinquely able than any english player apart from Jack Wilshire

Some were saying he's at Lille vs Lyon tonight, perhaps for Gervinho?

Vargas. Seriously. If we don't get Ireland, get this boy in!

Skillful, technically good, fast, mobile and has an eye for goal.

    Barton Tiote
    Gervinho Vargas Ben Arfa
    Pav

    MMMMM!!!!!

I don't really care who we get or whether the deal is as good as the Tiote one has turned out to be. As long as this new striker creates and scores!

Kevin Gameiro from L'Orient looks quality but he's a only 5ft 7". Market value is around £10m like Gervinho

Why are we going for frenchies?<grr>

We should be going for Doyle,Long and McArthur.
They are top players we can buy on the cheap and then we can go after Vargas and Tiotie mk11 and Gervhio (dont know how his name is spelt)

He looks good but in the Belgian league, it would be a risk to sign him for what would probably be around £6m-£8m.

Then again Tiote barely started a game in the Dutch league.

Other alternatives besides my beloved Vargas...

    Keisuke Honda
    Seydou Doumbia
    Jelle Vossen
    Sylvain Marveaux
    Miku(Getafe)
    Kiko(Hercules FC)
    Juan Albin
    Ricky Van Wolswinkel

There's many, many, many more but we know too long a list.

Vargas... MMMM!!! = Tiote-esque signing.. Dutch League is about the same quality as the Belgium league so you know!

Gervinho would be a decent signing.

A decent winger as well would be nice.

If we're going for Ivory Coast players like Gervinho may i throw Seydou Doumbia's name into the ring, he plays for CSKA Moscow and is an awesome powerful young striker. He was the other player along with Gervinho that Tiote said were the 2 best young Ivory Coast player in that fans interview on the official website. We must get them both!

I thought he was mostly a sub, coming on in the second half to see games out.

It's a risk but could you imagine..

A FIRST Venezuelan playing for the toon!

Not to mention he'll be loved by the three amigos!

    BUY, BUY, BUY! TIOTE-ESQUE SIGNING!

If I ever saw one of the scouts or Pardew.. OMG!!!!!
