Scottish ministers have been warned by their own economic advisers about their plans for an oil fund. Their report said an independent Scotland would have to raise taxes, cut services or borrow to create the fund. Pro-Union campaigners said the private advice shows there has been a "deception" of the public. However, the paper also said that Scotland could have paid off its debts 30 years ago if it been independent and with oil revenues. You missed the boat there ya ****ers. It calculated that the tax surpluses of the 1980s could have been set aside to create a Norwegian-style of oil fund which would have been worth £117bn by 2011. The release of the economic advice follows publication, last week, of the Scottish government plan to set up two oil funds. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-24469684
