OK We are the United Kingdom of Great Britain, one nation. Not perfect by any means (Welsh) but one nation none the less. How will anyone benefit by breaking up this nation? Do Scots really believe there's some crock of gold to be found separating? Maybe 10 years ago when they could have joined the EU as an independent nation and reaped rich cash rewards but now the EU is broke. And why do so many infer that Scotland is ruled by England? Total bollocks, if anything on a pro rata basis based on seats in Westminster we English are ruled by the Scots but do we want independance ? Not really. Being a United Kingdom we have stood our own on the world stage for hundreds of years and you ****s want to break all that up on a whim.

Can we still be called Great Britain? Can we still be called the United Kingdom? As Scotland would be outside GB/UK it would have to apply to the EU for recognition/membership. In the meantime would that make all Scots foreigners as far as England is concerned? Would you have to have a passport to cross the border? Will Scotland have its own armed forces? Will a Yes vote mean all the Scots MPs in England have to sod off back up north? Will all the Scottish Tories in safe English seats be told to chance their arm back in the old country? When it all goes tits up and they want to come back how will the apology be worded? Do the Scots think that anyone south of the border really gives a flying feck other than in comedic terms? If Salmond doesn't win the vote will he step down? That would be a 'no' then.

this has been going on for too long. we should have had the vote years ago. they either want in or out. what bothers me is, why is the vote exclusive to scotland. the rest of great britain should also get the vote to see if the majority wants scotland to be apart of great britain.

but it should be the country pushing for independance that has the ight to vote themselves free, if the other countries could vote then scotland could be denied independence even if there was a 100% yes vote in scotland
