I've watched his entire career mate since he scored his first goal v us at the SOL, and he is an excellent player, way beyond the average standard of our squad. Absolutely no question. He gets duped RM for England, his strength is CM where he excelled for Villa and earned, and he did earn it, his move to City. City had a collective unimpressive season, so does that rule out Aguero, Yaya etc as well?
I was a little surprised to read that most of you would turn your noses up at Parker but disagreement over whether Milner's any good seems mad! If it weren't for AVB having a very particular style that he wants us to play at Spurs I'd snap your hand off for him. There's always a wage issue with City players though, has he said he'll take a wage cut or something?
It's ex newcastle. It can't be football related as both are very good footballers We've watched atrocious football all season. Kick and rush stuff. Then we get linked with Parker who can help play out from the back, and he gets this level of rejection! Each to their own I suppose
Milner is a very, very decent player and would be excellent for us but we don't have minute chance of either getting him or affording him. Parker is overrated ****e. I fear we may get him.
I am hoping with Kinnear at Newcastle he may go for a there. Here's hoping anyway. Too old now. Maybe 6-7 years ago but deffo not now.
COTTAGERS MAY SWOOP FOR SCOTT PARKER ABOVE: Scott Parker could join Fulham Martin Jol has already made four signings but only one, Derek Boateng, is a midfielder. 19th June 2013 By Adrian Kajumba Your Shout ( 0 ) FULHAM are ready to rival Sunderland for Scott Parker. Parker, valued at around £4m, is on a list of up to 10 players Tottenham are open to offers for. He has been told his playing time will be limited next season when Sandro returns from injury. The Cottagers will be able to offer Parker, 32, regular football and the chance to stay in London, which could give them the edge over Sunderland. Mackems boss Paolo Di Canio wants to add established names to his squad and has ex-Newcastle midfielder Parker high on his wanted list. Meanwhile, Fulham boss Martin Jol has vacancies to fill after releasing four central midfielders this summer. He has already made four signings but only one, Derek Boateng, is a midfielder. Jol has also signed keeper Maarten Stekelenburg and defenders Sascha Riether and Fernando Amorebieta.
Disagree totally - I think he is certainly no better than the Catts we saw at the top of his game - over-rated IMO and certainly not international quality
