Mark Schwarzer has been diagnosed with a spinal injury that is likely to keep him out for 4 to 6 weeks. In what seems like a very obvious decision, the club has recalled David Stockdale from his loan spell with Ipswich. So it looks like Etheridge will start tonight but will return to the number two spot once Stockdale returns. Does anybody know are we able to make changes to the registration for Europa League in the new year as I presume Stockdale isn't registered? And now it looks like it was a very wise decision by the club to not allow Stockdale to join Swansea in the summer.
I don't think the Europa registration matters now, but yes, we could have registered him for the next stage.
