Morgan really has developed into the class player he has always promised to be. But my question is, how high can this kid play? When he first came here i was ridiculed for predicting him to play for the French national team? Does anyone agree with this or is the Championship his level. In my opinion is now a complete midfielder and just as important as Lallana.
There is no doubt he can play in the premier league. I think he will excell more as the style of play only gets better for his, as well as the teams benefit.
In the EPL you get a bit more time on the ball. Players with class and poise like Morgan can really exploit that.
He's the best centre mid in the league IMO and I honestly believe he could be one of the best in the Premier League too. He has the complete package, he is very mature and plays like a 30 year old rather than 22.
He's the best CM of his kind in this league. If we reach the Premier League soon he will only excel further as a player. Not sure about playing for France, as CM always seems to be a strong department for them. But he most certainly has potential, what is he 21, 22?
If we go up this season then in the prem his class will truly come through as he will get a little more time on the ball. Some of the passes and balls he was clipping in for Lallana, lambert and co were sublime although one thing is he doesn't really have a fantastic goal record considering he actually has a decent strike on him but thats not really his game. Mark my words he will turn heads in the EPL.
Today was the best I've ever seen him play. Sure I've seen him show off his passing better but it wasn't really that sort of game.
He's good, but he's not the finished article yet. He's still young and his game will continue to develop, only time will tell how far he can go. Perhaps a bit early to be predicting caps for France (especially for someone who says Martin will never cut it in the premier league!), they are very strong in central midfield.
Morgan is a class class act and is looking more and more the finished article. Add a few goals to his game and he really will be on his way to the top.
The midfield we had on the pitch today has an average age of 24 and it's fair to say that the longer they play together the better (and more experienced) it will become. I think that the Cork, Morgan, Lallana axis will be together for a very long time and who knows, maybe at least one of them will get a full cap for their country. We definately owned Derby in midfield today and not many other teams in this league would have lived with us today.
He has always been class, people just haven't noticed him in games because of the way he plays. Today I didn't really see any difference from the other games this season, he is consistently good, with and without the ball!
Agreed, as i have said before, people don't realise what a class act he is because he doesn't pop up with enough goals.
I am waiting for the day he scores a home goal, when it happens I will go crazy, especially if it gets us promotion. That would be perfect.
The very lovely Mrs Godders agrees with you all. She thinks Morgan is wonderful too and has done so for a long time!
Agreed ^ I thought he had more time on the ball and played extremely well when we played United in the FA cup last year. It is also incredible that he is still only 22!
He's always been one of my favourite players, even when we were struggling a few years back. He does all the dirty work that often goes un-noticed and can win the ball to set us on the break. Just a shame he's reluctant to shoot, as I know full well he's got a cracking shot if only he had the confidence.
