Schlupp did very well today minus that shocking effort

How did he even manage to get it THAT high?

Just so glad we got the equaliser else I'd dread to think what stick he would have got from the thick ones!!!!

Exuberance. He'll settle down. At least he (nor any of the team) looked overawed.

The shot aside he did very well, showed plenty of pace and will cause sides plenty of problems. Like the fact we 3 former academy players on the pitch and another on the bench.

I really want to see him push on now and become the new "Lloyd Dyer"

He just needs better composure because he has the ability

Some very good points on this thread ... the 'shot' was his first touch in the game and, let's face it, was embarrassing <laugh> ... but he is very young still and hopefully that will teach him a valuable lesson ... on the positive side, he had a huge impact on the game ... the run (pace) that got him into that position scared the living ****e out of Everton and they were very wary of him afterward, it curbed some of their attacking intent because they were so worried about leaving themselves open to a counter down that side ... a very good substitution by Nige I felt ... Knocky was our least effective player on the day IMHO and his profligacy in giving the ball away was scandalous at times ...

Of Jeff needed any further proof he isnt a striker then that was it.

I think he can make a career as a winger whilst covering full back on ocassions

1 shot & you´re all going into one, unreal. He´ain´t that bad at finishing or have you all forgotten the times he´s put the ball in the net for LC ?

I wonder if we have another Vardy here.

1st season vardy tried to rip the back of the net with every shot.
He seemed to learn that that isn't the only way to score and got his finishing sorted better

    Perhaps Schlupp might be same.
A chance like that 1st season for Vardy would have probably had a similar sort of finish
2nd season I think he would have rounded keeper.

    This.
Also, I'd sooner someone has a wild shot rather than running the ball into a defender's feet or running it over the goal line for a goal kick! Wild shots can also be deflected and end-up in the back of the net!

A great option to bring on but is not a starter. He cant really dribble but his pace is electric so thats how he beats people.

Jeff isn't composed in the slightest in front of goal, he snatches at his chances.

A very talented footballer and will have a big role to play but not as a striker. As a striker he isn't good enough for the championship

As a winger/left back he has a very bright future

Im disappointed with his overall performance, that shot knocked the rest of his game where he was generally ineffective and looked out of position at times, didn't work hard enough for me.

Hes got pace, but he needs to use it defensively as well as when hes attacking.

Have to disagree with you there Wizard ... his introduction completely changed the dynamiic of the game ... yes the shot was woeful but he scared to living **** out of the Everton defence with that pace ... he gave us an outlet down the left and with Mahrez starting to weave his magic combined with Everton tiring we began to look more and more dangerous ...

I think Schlupp did play very well when he came on in which isn't easy for him bearing in mind that was his Prem debut. He completely panicked with his shot but he made a few runs which made Martinez bring on Seamus Coleman to counter Schlupp's pace.

Overall Schlupp made the impact Nigel was after

Very good but i would use him as an impact sub rather than a starter.

    Excellent option to have

Schlupp's versatility means he is a great option to have on the bench as we can cover the whole back line with just Jeff and Wasilewski. Meaning it allows Nigel to select more attacking options for the bench.

Spot on ... he could have been forgiven for wanting to 'go missing' after that shot but he didn't ... shook himself down ... did have a couple of hesitant touches before getting his mojo ... a couple of great runs and a cross that Wood nearly capitalised on ... as you say he did what the manager asked ... stemmed Everton's momentum and put them on the back foot .... the most disappointing performance from our lads had to be Knocky ...
