Hopefully it's not too serious as he's probably been our best player recently. Would rather he went off to Africa for a month than get injured, must be gutting for the lad.

    Real shame for him.

At least for us we are probably going to get him back soon but feel bad for the lad

According to reports in Ghana Jeff Schlupp will be fit for the Stoke game and that pissed of Ghana saying we have misleaded them and their a conspiracy against them

They are considering reporting us to FIFA. Nigel Pearson has said he was injured and the medical examinations by our physio and an independent doctor prove he was injured

Why? Have they got a right back that needs to be made to look good (like alan hutton Villa away).
No Schlupp - Hutton looked the very ordinary player he is.

Very harsh ... Konch should have picked up Hutton for the goal he scored at Villa (and he knew it and that contributed to the bust up) .. Schlupp had already tracked across to help the central defenders as Wasyl had lost the ball to Agbonlahor wide right and was out of position ... Hutton was also one of Villa's better players on Saturday and most of their threats stemmed from the right ...

Saturday aside, Schlupp and Mahrez have been far and away our best performers by some distance over recent weeks ... they both ran riot at an 'in form' Liverpool ... where Schlupp for me was man of the match - he put one on a plate for Mahrez in the first half (which Riyad blasted over from 8 yards out) and finished excellently to salvage a draw...

... still it's all about opinions.

Hes not one of my favourites, hes a better Lloyd Dyer imo and has improved this season. If he can keep his composure, he could be a real threat.

Schlupp has been one of our top performers recently. I know its all about opinion, but thats about as close to fact as you can get!

I wonder if this will put Schlupp in the limelight

My view is they shouldn't play their tournament when most leagues are in the middle of the season. Rugby is damaged by clubs playing chunks of seasons without many players, if they want to stay at their clubs so be it

Northampton Saints got hammered at the weekend because England demanded a huge chunk of their team be rested before the 6 nations.

I'd feel sorry for Ghana if they had taken him to the World Cup, im glad that hes proving them wrong for not selecting him.

Agreed, we've been a lot more committed to him than Ghana have been so don't feel bad for them at all and I'm glad he came back in the next game for us. I how Senegal beat Algeria too so we have Mahrez back

Jeff was a doubt for the Ghana squad due to injury, he was included in the hope he'd be fit according the that report. If the Ghana squad had been selected a week or so later when he had recovered he might've been in. It wasn't so he played for us.

It's bit different to declaring a player has a bad back, is too injured to fly for 6 weeks & then he pops up in a match a couple of days later, seemingly fine & dandy.

We've seen this time & time again from the 'big' clubs when it comes to England games, particularly friendlies. Top players suddenly get injured the day before reporting for England duty.

With transfer activity not prolific we need all of our squad to help us, so I hope Algeria are out & Mahrez is back sharpish.
