Admits there were some problems with the way we played and behind the scenes, but says him and MA got on fine http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24518273
I'm furious...Mr Scally please keep up with supporters views and let me make this very clear... Radio Kent rightly asked you about twitter comments re your letter to the supporters, I was one of those that raised the question on there. I have been to ten of our eleven league games this season and not once did I see the supporters boo the team or Martin Allen. It was NOT your letter that worked against Bradford. WE WERE ALREADY BEHIND THE TEAM...WE WERE NOT TURNING AGAINST THE TEAM...seriously Mr Chairman, I don't know what you've seen or how many games you have been too but the REACTION you saw against Bradford has been the same support all season, NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR LETTER WORKING.
I personally think, after listening to Paul Scally on Radio Kent this morning, that he has tried to learn from mistakes in the past. Last time we were in League 1 under Stimson we were in a similar position of looking like we were going to be in the relegation shake up. This time, rather than stick with something that isn't working, he made a judgement call to change it. In all honestly, I feel bad saying it, but if MA wasn't as likeable personally with his zany humour and brutal honesty, most people would be praising Mr. Scally for making the change.
Just read what Scally says to kent online....he has a point we were poor the last quarter of last season as well, so he is not just making decisions based on this season! He says out of the last 25 games including cup games, we have won around 4!
I am not necessarily a fan of Martin Allen - but all the time Scally is around to open his mouth, Allen will be at worst the 2nd least popular person connected with GFC. I totally agree with brb that Scally is making a throwaway comment regarding fans booing the players - when ? when ? I will admit there were one or two dissenters on Saturday - as there were at Wolves - but at Northampton - where I thought we have been worst this season, there was no complaint. Mr. Scally - you may have good reason for dismissing the manager - but please STOP insulting the intelligence of the fans - you are embarrassing yourself.
