Maybe someone could offer him their daughter in marriage so he could come and move here and play for us!
BUMP http://www.theycallmesaviour.com/# Anyone heard any more on this film? Whether he ever could be the saviour of Hull City, should still make a good watch.
It would be nice to see him get a months trial, even if he doesn't make the grade, he could play in the reserve games and it would give him a chance to realise his dream. If he has played for Sierra Leone, he could get a work permit easily. Unless any of you want to marry him, in which case it wouldn't be an issue at all...
I thought dowie was meant to be our saviour, and look how that turned out. I can't understand why, even though we are twinned with freetown , why he would want to come to hull, unless we are a decoy so that bigger clubs hear of him and then the lad will get a call from a top end prem team.
And why would someone from Sweden start to support Hull and write weekly articles, chronicles and pre-views about them?
That's an interesting point , again we return to why ? We have fans all over the world and I think it's fantastic, but why would this one guy , an alleged world beater waiting to happen pick hull.
I think it has something to do with the fact that Kingston upon Hull is twinned with Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone. So I think in their country they get a fair bit of coverage. It's a tenuous theory. In all honesty, the guy could be a world beater, but all these people have to go on is seeing teams like FC Kallon and Mighty Blackpool play week in week out, and they, sports fans, aren't very good. He's been cappped by the national team, but so has Albert Jarrett and he plays in the Conference with Lincoln City. Still, it can't hurt to have a look and if it means fulfilling the dream of a young footballing lad who wants to play for the club, even if it's just a reserve match against Gateshead, then I say let him.
The film is just about finished, the lads that are making it posted on CI not long ago, they're still trying to get him over for a trial too.
Check our facebook page 'they call me saviour'. He's currently on loan at struggling Swedish club Bodens BK but making a big impression. We're flying out to Sweden tomorrow to film him for a week, and we're hoping to bring him over to the UK in November (after the Swedish season finishes). Saviour (other nickname Crespo) is represented by Swedish agent Patrick Mork who also represents Sierra Leoneans Poborsky Bangura (just signed for Celtic) and Tetteh Bangura (just signed for Bursaspor) - both were previously at AIK Solna. Saviour really looks like he's the next big thing from Sierra Leone - he's on trial at a top Swedish club today and tomorrow, sorry I can't say who they are. Why Hull? - well that's because we're from Hull, Hull is linked to Freetown and we want him to come here. That's the story - two City fans try to find their club a brilliant striker. Saviour's old secondary school in Freetown, Albert Academy is partnered with Winifred Holtby on Bransholme. We'll keep you posted. It's been quite a job getting him here but we're getting closer all the time.
Good news. All quality comes to Sweden first before being approved Notice: Poborsky sounds Russian. His name is Mohammed Bangura
