So, here I was getting excited to get back to the Brit after what seems like an age away when, horror upon horror, my boy cannot join me. As my season ticket is in the family stand, I have to move if I want another adult to come instead. No problem I hear you say, just move. However, there are only single seats left so I cannot move both seats to allow my dad to come. So, the point of this ramble, if I tried to get in on Saturday, without my boy, would anyone notice that I didn't have a kid with me at the turnstiles and stop me. I asking my mates if any of them will lend me a kid for the day but I'd like a back up plan.
I've gone in without my lad a few times - he doesn't go to evening games on a school night. I've never had any problem getting in.
Any thoughts about the game against us [Southampton] on Saturday? Neither side has really been at their best recently, so it is a difficult one to judge.
I think it could be a good game. We've not been picking up the deserved points lately although I think we've played ok. I'm hoping for a win, for Stoke of course.
Most of my mates kids that like football, already have season tickets. Head hung in shame; I didn't go today. My daughter offered to come but announced that I would need to bring a book to read her a story when she got bored........ Good win in the end though.
Funny old game. The two successful chances were more difficult than the ones Nzonzi and Crouch amazingly failed to convert.
Looking forward to Saturday now. I'm hoping for a strong finish to the season. Maybe young Peter will make a brief appearance.
