STEWARDS CUP TIME TOMORROW!!! Eirene wins it apparently, even more confident than Lancelot last year, 28/1 .

Cheers Chelsea, will have to have a look at Eirene. Only touched the race last year because of the info for Lancelot de Lac.

Looking at Saturday’s cards, there is not a decent bet to be had at the four British turf meetings in the afternoon, so I will find something better to do as the cricket will have finished by lunch.

And next Saturday the Shergar Cup probably means another blank... <wah>

Ben Linfoot makes a decent argument for the 50/1 shot Reputation in the Stewards Cup at Goodwood tomorrow. I also note that Gazboy's superhero claimer is onboard. That'll do for me each way. In the consolation race I see Theodore Ladd accompanies the top weight Dark Shot. Another claimer who has been doing well. This one is only 40/1. Another ew and maybe even a rupee or 2 on the ew double.

Just 2 bets in the Stewards cup today for me:

    Tis marvellous 9/1 e.w 5 places
    Reputation 50/1 e.w 5 places

I admire Chelsea s confidence in Eirene but slight worry in the ground maybe? Good luck if you play that one. Considered it as well as Silent Echo but you can't back them all.

Of my 3 yesterday, Original Choice was 3rd 12/1 (16s posted), so 1 pt loss on day for singles.

6 picks today. usual 1 pt E/W and 1/20th stakes on e/w doubles and trebles, but I'm only counting singles results in the P/L. Even if I get a massive treble or two!

    G'wd 1.50 MILITIA 11/1 (1/4 odds 4 places)

    " 3.40 G.MASTER 16/1 ( " " " ) :1980_boogie_down: 20/1

    Thirsk 3.25 WHATSTHEMESSAGE 12/1 ( " " " )

    Ch'fd 3.55 P ROCK 12/1 (1/5th odds 3 places) 2nd 6/1

    Thirsk 4.0 J.S.CHARLIE 14/1 ( " " " )

    G'way 4.45 L.SUN 10/1 (1/4 odds 4 places) :1980_boogie_down: 7/1

My tip - Restorer in the 4.05 however the ground may be too firm now. Lazy bet - just follow Atzeni. Top tip - get a nice bit of shade near a refreshment stand. :emoticon-0148-yes: Enjoy.

Since I can’t pick between the top 2 in the betting for the Stewards Cup I will back Eirene ew.

Be surprised if it wins but certainly a good ew bet (can’t ignore it after last year!)
