12:40 Kempton SWIVEL 8/1 e.w Very good flat recruit, should enjoy Kempton, and the market principles IMO look very vulnerable. 1.40 Balder Succes 9/4 This looks at his mercy to be honest. Ground softening up nicely, nice flat track, small field. Hates big fields as he gets claustrophobic apparantly. Expect him to kick on and win this well, especially receiving weight from Module. 1.20 Leopardstown BALLYCASEY 10/3 The ground looked very testing at Leopardstown and that should allow his stamina to kick in. He is definitely up there with the best in the field if he gets the conditions to suit. 1.50 LeopardstownSub Lieutenant 4/1 Have to say I favour this horse over the fav. This one is a proper NH type and has been given time to learn his trade. Was always going to be better when the obstacles were put in front of him and I'd say he might take a bit of beating, especially if Bryan Cooper is positive on him.
I'm surprised to see Melodic Rendezvous available at 5/1 for the Wayward Lad. I know his chase debut was ponderous but I'd expect him to step up markedly on that and he gets a useful couple of pounds from most of them. Feels like a bet.
Morning all, like snow it's here at last -going to take getting used to, I'm sure we'll all cope eventually. Headlys Bridge at Chepstow must have a great chance of following up -in the big slog I'm sure a light weight is going to be an advantage -despite the presence of top class handicappers -I have a feelin that old Rebecca's Choice will run very well...
Morning fellas - site takes a few minutes to navigate but very nice now I'm on it . Got to have a small bet on Rebecca's choice as my youngest daughter is called Rebecca I suppose - also like Emperor Choice in the same race.
Well this all looks a bit flash. It will take this technophobe a little while to get used to it but all looks dandy so far. Was well impressed by ol Conti yesterday. Wandering around like a drunk back in March I thought his best days were behind him but he came out a destroyed them all from the front, marvellous to watch though no profit for me. More good action today and I like the chances of Federici at Limerick, 1.35 @ 13/2. Scrapes in at the bottom of the weights has a competent claimer removing another 7lbs and has shown plenty of promise over fences already this season. Oh and I bumped into his owner in the chippy just before Xmas and he said if he makes the cut back him! Over at Wetherby 2.40 I see French Opera has been set a much easier assignment today. Hasn't won for over 3 years but still retains ability. Another competent claimer takes off a 3lbs off his top weight and I expect him to be there at the business end of this race. A very tentative each way on Handy Andy in the Welsh National too. All the best to those having a go today
Morning All. I like the updated version of the site. Today's lucky 15's. 1-10.Kempton Park. Vibrato Valtat. 1-20.Leopardstown. Ballycasey. 1-40.Kempton Park.Hinterland. 1-50.Leopardstown.Nichols Canyon. 1-25.Chepstow.Brownville. 1-55. " Old Guard. 2-35. " Hawkes Point. 3-10. " ***o. Good luck to all.
Just wondering whether any of the Irish lads have a view on Gold Bullet's chances today (1.35 Limerick)? He had just the one run over fences as a novice, winning well under Ruby Wash, and there was talk of hm going for the Drinmore before he got injured. Thrown straight into a 0-145 Handicap off 140 after a 421 day absence feels like a big ask, but he is challenging for favouritism so is obviously still well regarded. Any word on his well-being?
Morning all!! I hope you all had a great Christmas!! Coneygree softened the blow of Cue Card getting beaten yesterday. With the outlaws out of the way I've taken a bit of time to put together a Canadian for today... 12:55 Chep - Big Hands Harry 7/2 1:25 Chep - Bygones Sovereign 8/1 1:55 Chep - Golden Doyen 2/1 2:15 Kemp - Ballinvarrig 11/2 3:10 Chep - Renard 11/2 Good luck all!
I have followed the local Dai Birchall barn for years and would be delighted to see Rebecca's Choice romp to victory? Good Luck
Swanky new site eh? Nice. Have foolishly punted my plums off today. Welsh National utterly predictable as usual - a horse will win, with a bloke sat on its' back. Most likely said horse will share the mud loving propensities of a hippopotomus. Beyond that your guess is a s good as mine. In fact the cat's guess is as good as mine. He's gone for Shotgun Paddy. I've been tempted toward Woodford County and Amigo, but am also inrigued by the chances of Benbens.
Hooooray, new site and no bugs...so far! Hope all had a good Christmas and are all doing well Vibrato Valtat in the Wayward Lad should be difficult to beat, ground has turned against God's Own and whilst Three Kingdoms has done nothing wrong he will need to improve a bit to beat VV, 5/2 is fair with the non runners and hopefully Fehily's clock is working well after yesterday's heroics. Balder Succes ought to put his best hoof forward and gain a first win of the season as the small field and flatter track should aid his cause, as short as 11/8 now I was on at 5/2 but no doubt will feel the effect of a rule 4 if he obliges. No secret that Foxrock has been laid out for the Grade B Paddy Power chase at Leopardstown today he is still available at 11/2 but that's short enough for such a competitive affair but back at 3 mile and tongue tied I'd say with a clean round he will win this and Barry Connell will hope so too as he has told many it is his banker over Christmas some week's back on national radio. Best of luck today lad's and lasses and liking the look of the new site
After backing all of Geraghty's mounts yesterday and winning nowt, he goes and wins the opener at Kempton and will probably go through the card now Nice performance from Bivouac at the weights
afternoon all.two for me both at leps.Groody hill ew and rock the world to score.Well done with the work on the new site ron & co,looks very snazzy!
