Anybody expecting a shake-up in the Triumph Hurdle betting after the Adonis Hurdle? Usually seen as a key trial but none of the market principals are involved in this heat ...................
Any opportunity Oddy. It doesn't look a particularly strong renewal but that doesn't mean something won't pop up. I hope Bivouc doesn't win because we've seen he's not good enough to beat the Triumph favourite already.
For that reason I hope he does Bob Can't be having Sire De Grugy @ odds on giving all that weight away
Talking of the Triumph, Petite Parisiene is a big old price at 10/1 to win. She was very impressive LTO and looked to have more improvement in her. Hope she travels over.
Like last race tomorrow is only a stepping stone for SDG. Think Far West will be the biggest danger, improving and run behind Top Gamble wasnt that bad. Has a good claimer on board and if taking that into account gets 2 stone from SDG.
The two that interest me Bob are Beltor (whose defeat of Arabian Revolution doesn't look half bad on paper and is still very unexposed) and the Skelton horse, who I would think they rate to be starting him off in this.

Tomorrow's lucky 15. Lingfield Park,1-45.Hallelujah. Kempton park,3-10.Days Of Heaven. Lingfield Park,3-25.Maverick Wave. Kempton Park,3-45.Rocky Creek. Good luck to all.
First Saturday in a while iv had to sit down and watch the racing live so having a proper look through the cards. Adonis: Dont fancy Beltor, think the form with Arabian Revolution doesnt stack up well. The 2nd and 3rd have won since however both have been weak races.Bivouac won his debut and then followed up under a penalty however both races havent thrown up any decent horses and he was since been outclassed on trials day. Onto the selection All Yours(4/1) - Like many of Nicholls juveniles this year he was set alight on hurdles debut and took an age to settle, wouldnt have got near the smart winner Stars over the Sea before falling but headgear was applied next time out and although he ended up veering all over the place before the last won easily as you like and given the ownership won this last year and the juveniles at Nicholls disposal he must be showing something to be the sole entry. Pendil: God's Own was a close 2nd in this last year to Balder Success(receiving 7lbs) however this trip may stretch him as his best form has been over 16/17f. Irish Saint was pretty disappointing when fancied for the Scilly Isles last time , hes is probably rated by the handicapper about right and that would make him vulnerable under a penalty against God's Own and the selection Melodic Rendezvous(9/4). He was only having his 2nd run over fences last time out and jumping wasnt bad, room for improvement which will come with experience but was probably running on ground faster than ideal. Gets 7lbs here from the principals and consdering he was rated 161-163 over hurdles he should have a few pounds in hand and with ground in his favour im expecting a big run. Dovecote: Was really impressed with how Vago Collognes(5/4) travelled on trials day and was then found wanting after hitting the front to finish a close 3rd behind a couple of top class novices. Drop back in trip looks sure to suit and no surprise to see Nicholls pick up another big saturday pot. Betbright Chase: Fox Appeal(6/1) has been crying out for 3 miles and was to his credit that he was a close 3rd behind Balder Success last year over 2 and a half. Last run he was an unlucky 2nd, jockey should have had him at work sooner in my opinion and he looks well handicapped.Tap Night(8/1) is the worst best handicapped horse in racing and must be a nightmare for connections as he keeps being gambled on. He was a mile out last time and then finished like a train to be a close 3rd over 2m 5f. Step up in trip should be ideal and handicapper has left him on his perch of 130. I mentioned Far West(5/2) on previous post against Sire De Grugy.
The only way Sire De Grugy gets beat is if he falls other than that it will be a hack canter for him to build confidence for the QMCC which he will contest.
Not a major shakeup but if ALL YOURS puts it all in, can definitely see him fitting the Nicholls improving-type profile. Like Bob, Petite Parisienne is a nice one but can't say I have a definitive idea of the Triumph winner this season.
I wouldn't be in a hurry to knock the BELTOR form, he absolutely hosed up in that race wardy and as you say the second and third are winners since!
Stunned that you can back DAYS OF THUNDER at 11/8 and VAGO COLLONGES at 13/10 tomorrow.....One of the two will win, Days Of Thunder I reckon but you can back them both and win money!
Cloudscape, 3.25 Ling, has been in my ATR tracker since lto ' Goodwood over 1m4f when I have recorded the comment "ran on having not really settled". Seems the race readers did not agree as according to the form book, he "settled quite well in rear and gave himself every chance over this longer trip." Anyway, he's back down to 1m2f this time, and assuming he's fully wound up he can improve past globe trotting fav Grandeur. Tom Segal's picked him as a Pricewise selection, so on that note, I'm in.
Nothing really blowing up my skirt today so just a small eway double on KNOCKANRAWLEY 12/1 and BALLINVARRIG 14/1. Good luck all!!
It's D-Day for Sire De Grugy. To win today , he'll have to accomplish what no other Champion Chaser has done this century- to give 27 lbs away in a handicap. Only one or two have even tried and, to my memory, only Azertyuiop has won giving away about a stone and a half. However, with a cloud hanging over Sprinter Sacre's retained ability, I see the ante-post 7/1 available for Sire De Grugy as outstanding value. Should he win today- or lose narrowly- I can see his price come tumbling down. Despite his jumping errors last time, what impressed me was his physical presence and ability to cope with those mistakes- 90% of horses would surely have been on the deck. Sprinter Sacre excepted, he was easily the best two miler around and, given he's retained his ability, I can't believe his price of 7/1 for Cheltenham.
Fancies for today: 1.45 Lingfield - Go Far 6/1 & Rivellino 11/2 Can't split these so singles and a reverse f/cast 3.45 Kempton - Easter Day 5/1 Travelling okay when falling last time out, on a good mark too. 4.10 Chepstow - Katkeau 10/3 It is Tom Scudamore's only ride for Pipe today and have been given this one also to back. Cheers Trev
