Santiago baby..... Santiago oooohhhhh If he's that bad then why did the crowd give him his own song? He must've done alright at times for us (I know he did) had good games and poor games. Kirchhoff's debut was a mare. He's turned out to be pretty good. (Not that Vergini is that good) but he has undoubted ability.
He had one or 2 half decent games at rb thats why i think. At CB he was an absolute mare. Southampton away springs to mind.
Agree with you on this. He's clearly got ability but he did have some shocking games. Its not usually something I'd say because I think its a lazy assessment and a bit of cliche but I think he may be one of those players for whom the pace and/or physicality of the Premier League is too much.
I think it was because of his eccentricity, totally unreliable at the back but he could go on mazy Maradona style runs from time to time. He does have some ability on the ball but his attributes don't translate well to playing in defence and he's too dopey to play anywhere else.
No no no no no FFS, we need to get rid of these second rate has beens. He rarely had a decent game for us, simply NO, get rid and quick.
After seeing his goal against Southampton I'd give him a go up front with Defoe, Ronaldo couldn't even finish like that!
Totally agree. The PL doesn't suit him. His agent will be working his arse off to find him another club over the summer. He won't be back.
Perhaps I am out of step..but I never thought he was that bad...true not outstandingly good but okay. Great OG v Southampton was it not? anybody got the video
