News Now is showing Mail Online as saying Hughes is making a very serious attempt to get Samba back from Russia. I may be wrong but I think the Mail seems to have an inside track at QPR. Story may have serious legs.
Yes please. I have an unashamed "man crush" on Christopher Samba. Plus he's pretty good at football...
He will have to subsidise the move himself but he may just go for it. Carry on having bananas thrown at him in Russia or being captain of QPR is his choice.. Be a good move all round if MH pulls it off..
Yes he probably does... Rumour has it that when AM played for QPR he had to have a *** before the half-time chat and another before returning to the pitch. I remember when I worked there Vialli did the same thing, he puffed two Marlboro lights outside on the steps of the players entrance while managing Watford during a pre - season friendly just after he got sacked by Chelsea. Di Matteo is the same. Stan Bowles was also a thirty a day man.
There's no doubt it was a case of 'Out of the frying pan into the fire' when Samba left Blackburn in February. Any black player going to Russia/Eastern Europe can be under no illusion what to expect, even Roberto Carlos got the banana treatment. Hopefully the price won't be prohibitive. And yes, the Mail does have an inside track on some of our transfers, Hughes has signed up to do a regular column for them, but I'm sure he'll only feed them what he wants...
Our credibility is shot then. To have Warnock appearing in the Independent was pretty cool and always a good read but there is no way I'm going to be seen dead reading the Daily Middle England Fascist Newsletter. What does Hughes know about women's fashion or medical problems anyway?
Samba always wanted to come to QPR but that deluded muppet Kean put a stop to it. I really think this story has legs. We need to get in quick before Spurs hear because they always take the best ones.
The comments on that website are truly shocking. I occasionally read it in a sadistic way hoping to be shocked and I always am. That woman who got jailed for the racist rant was greeted with thousands of "Im not racist but..." or "So much for freedom of speech." Vile paper.
Expect the column to contain priceless gems such as "We'd have won if Princess Di was still alive" and "Immigrants cost us the match!" [sorry - not a fan of that rag either] A definite yes to Samba though - a man mountain of a player and we'd never lose a defensive header again. I always thought that he earned 10 points a year for Blackburn just on his own determination.
