please log in to view this image England manager for 67 days, on a salary almost as big as his ego. Forced to resign after agreeing a dodgy contract with a group of far east businessmen. Allardyce discussed an offer that would see him fly to Singapore and Hong Kong four times a year to address investors in a firm that wanted to buy footballers, for which he would be paid £400,000 a year. He was recorded giving advice about third-party ownership of players, which was banned worldwide last year. He ridiculed former manager Roy Hodgson, criticised Gary Neville, and made comments about Prince William. There goes his knighthood ! Let's wait and see which grubby Premier League club offers him a managerial position first. What an utter disgrace the man is........
This is an interesting read. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...ier-league-managers-took-transfer-bungs-clai/
He should never have been appointed in the first place, and the FA, and the media, need to get over this obsession with the manager being English. But I expect the next manager will be some English yes man for the FA. It depends on who's involved in these bungs, but I'd say it'll be either Alan Pardew, or if he's involved, then Eddie Howe.
The most shocking thing about this (and to be fair none of us are that shocked are we) is the interview he gave today where he blamed somebody else and also the "entrapment". If you don't agree to it and put your snout in the trough then you cannot be trapped by anyone. The only person who was deluded in this was him. Too much money in football is the problem. Anything that has stacks of cash in it is always going to be bendable. Despite the fact that the protaganists earn loads of it already. The question is can they find somebody the Journo's haven't got a file on?
There may not be many anywhere Wooperts it's just a matter of how big the trough is as to how much you can put in it. The media know bleddy well what's been going on for probably years and yet still they act as if this is some great revelation to us masses who know nothing. The only shocked people seem to be the news people because reading around the forums etc there doesn't seem to be too much shock anywhere else. I also hear he might be in line for a payoff as compensation. And people complain about Bankers being greedy barstewards......
Hopefully, the greedy git's managerial career is finished. He shouldn't receive a single penny in compensation to my mind, but as you say, he probably will.
He must realise he's been a total plum........and clearly we seem to live in a world where for some people an obscene amount of money simply isn't enough.
