    For a player to score 14 goals at Malaga, a team battling relegation, means he must be doing something right. Julio Baptista grabbed the headlines with his goalscoring run in the final games, but Rondon's performances and goals throughput the season are what really kept Malaga in the top flight. He's playing up front as the big target man in my select XI, but he is equally comfortable as one of the 2 strikers in a 4-4-2 system. He possesses terrific speed and very good in the air, right footed and great technique, this 21 year old Venezuelan is one for the future and should find himself at a big club one day: either here in Spain or even the Premier League where he appears ideally suited.

    I'd prefer him to Gameiro, just in terms of maintaining some form of physical presence up front.
