what the **** is going on?? we are third in the Big Boys League?? Sevco third in third division, with all their money!!
You have to put it into context. Sure it's a terrible result to lose to the (on league table placings) worst team in Scotland. Rangers obviously have infinitely more resources than Stirling, but it's still a game between essentially two third division sides. It's not Berwick in 67 or Celtic versus ICT when Barnes lost his job. Yes it's an extremely dissapointing result and I'm sure one than will entertain opposition fans for the next fortnight. I don't think we can sack him after it though considering all that's happened. Ally needs to sort the away form out rapidly though or he will run out of good will. Ironically I have seen them play worse than they did today in some of the other games this season.
I read somewhere that Rangers have a bigger wage bill than all teams outwith the SPL combined. If this was not McCoist I feel Rangers fans reactions would be different, which is understandable after the clusterfuck you have went through lately I suppose.
He really REALLY needs to sort out the away form. Any manager, in any league, who can't win away from home is on borrowed time.
If it wasn't a Rangers legend that was manager, would he be given a fraction of the leeway? That's six or seven away games this season against semi-pro teams that Rangers have struggled. Without a win in 4 away games in the league? Given that at home you can pump the same standard (and better) teams, that's absolutely piss-poor. I'm really not at the wind-up, I just think Ally McCoist is simply not a very good manager and that you'd be better off with someone else.
Mibby we could sober up Billy Davies and offer him the job. On second thoughts, don't sober him up, he'd knock it back.
I wouldn't listen to me anyway. I had Lennon for the boot this time last year so I'm not exactly infallible
I wisny gonny remind ye of that You are quite correct that Ally is living on time borrowed from his kudos (rightly earned from his playing days). He'll have to sort out the away form and show consistency, and show that his recent buys are up to the job (imagine failing to buy players that can't cut it in the Scottish 3rd <shudder>).
I was about to post something again on here, but I fear that BH would come along and berate me for being online at this time of a Saturday night. I suspect he is sitting refreshing pages right now and counting the posts and the times they were made. Yours, An unrepentant Taig, who has to work early tomorrow morning.
