Sakho has settled well. Rodgers just needs to work out what our best defensive shape is.

Still can't believe we got him. Before he went to PSG he was on quite a few people's wish list.

Brenda needs to get this guy into the team imo. I think the game against Hull showed why Man City let Toure go for free, a good back up but a bit past his best imo.

Harsh to judge Toure on that one game IMO - I think he has been brilliant for us but the injuries have taken their toll on him. Only defender we have who is vocal and can organise.

But I agree on Sakho - this guy has potential to become world class. Sooner we build our defence around him, the better.

  7. Toure was superb but the last two appearances have been poor. Having said that, I'd play him before the others.

I find it incredible that professional footballers cant shout and organise, Ive always been a shouter/talker/organiser on the pitch its such an easy thing to do

    BR latest quotes on Sakho:

"If he's working well enough in training and the team is not doing so well, it could open up the door for him."

Is BR suggesting that Sakho isn't working hard enough in training? ...

Shame you can't do it in real life <whistle>

  11. I think it comes with experience and/or confidence, you also need respect from others too but this comes with leading over time anyway. I never used to talk, I'm a fairly quiet person most of the time, but stick me on a football pitch nowadays and you will get fed up with my voice <laugh>

  12. Or he is saying that others are working harder?

This lad could be the future of our defence. Absolute monster of a player, 96% pass accuracy today too.

    ****ing monster of a man.

  14. I now believe he is our number one CB. He is a monster and the defence should be built around him for the next ten years!

    Agreed.

Absolute great buy and with years to come. Great passer, fits into the passing style but at the same time not afraid to smash the ball away when needs be.

Seems to win everything in the air.

I know he should have scored today but just getting in the right area and attacking the ball is great to see.

Agree with everyone - the defence needs to be built around him and I hope we find the right RCB to become his partner. His passing is brilliant - plays it with pace and accuracy.

  19. Plus he is tall, strong and quick too. With experience, his positioning and decision making will improve too. He has the potential to be one of the best CBs in the world IMO but that will need a lot of desire, commitment and determination.

No doubt that he has the physical attributed to become a top CB. Now just needs to work on the technical aspect and as you say hopefully that'll come with playing regular football at a top level and hopefully for France as well.

Said it a couple of weeks bacj, build the defence around him because he's young enough to go on and play for us for another 10+ years.
