Bartosz Bialkowski - 6, looked dodgy at times, not his most composed performance
Danny Butterfield - 6, looked steady, did nothing wrong
Aaron Martin - 7, calm & composed at the back
Jos Hooiveld - 7, looked solid, although struggled after he picked up injury
Ryan Dickson - 6, in and out of the game
Lee Holmes - 7, lively down the wings, looked fit and sharp
Morgan Schneiderlin - 8 MOM, superb player, techincally awesome
Richard Chaplow - 7, solid in midfield and took a battering
Steve De Ridder - 7, superb 1st half faded in 2nd half
Ben Reeves - 7, very impressed, great debut although faded towards the end
Johnathon Forte - 6, struggled up front on his own but worked hard

Adam Lallana - 7, instant impact with the goal
Rickie Lambert - 6, didnt have much to do
Jose Fonte - 7, tidied up at the back well

Luke Shaw & James Ward-Prowse - 10, just for being on the bench ;)

A fair post, I would have given Forte a 5 otherwise the same. It is difficult to raise your game against such poor opposition, we allowed them a bit of space but they didn't have enough to worry us much.

Why does there always have to be one player with a rating of 5?
Forte did alright but I think he needs to be playing off a striker.

    Bialkowski - 6
    Butterfield - 6
    Martin - 7
    Hooiveld - 8
    Dickson - 6
    De Ridder - 7

    Holmes - 8
    Reeves - 7
    Forte - 6

    Lallana - 7
    Fonte - 7
    Lambert - 6

Great to see Reeves getting solid 7s, how far do people think he is away from league action?

Have to admit I can see why certain players are not getting a look in on the first team! Was an OK game didn't really think we looked like getting out of second gear to be honest and was surprised Preston scored against us

Bialkowski - 6 - poor distribution maybe done better for the goal.

    Butterfield - 6.5 - solid come back
    Martin - 7 - solid enough wasn't majorly tested.

Hooiveld - 7.5 - solid as a rock, intelligent player

Dickson - 5 - can see why he won't be challenging fox or hards!

De Ridder - 7 - looked very good seems to be adjusting well to EFL

Chaplow - 6.5 - energetic but left a couple of boots in! Motor in the middle of park!

Schneiderlin - 8 - good performance, he is a different class to the rest, have seen him play better but that maybe because he didn't have his usual team mates around him ( DH, AL, RL)

Holmes - 7 - give him a 7 but he is not getting near the bench, purely squad! If the right back had been any good Holmes wouldnt have looked anywhere near as good!

Reeves - 7 - excellent debut, great control and vision - hoping he bulks up!
Forte - 5 - couldn't trap a bag of ****! Felt bit sorry for him as he isn't a leading forward!

    Lallana - 8 - the difference
    Fonte - 7 - solid as ever!
Lambert - 6 - looked like Nigel had dragged him out of bed to play ten minutes but we can forgive him for that :) !!!!

Glad Reeves did well..give him confidence. I always say that if there's a little'un in the team watch out, because he must be good. If you make it through selection when most coaches and managers go for the taller and larger youngsters, there must be something about you. Pleased for him that he was involved in the first goal. Note that Adkins wants to draw Liverpool. I'd rather draw a lower side, but NA has done enough for us to desrve his reward, but perhaps we could save Liverpool till the final<whistle>

Bart - 6 - had little to do and tbh he parried the shot away but could do very little about the return shot that crept him, I'm not blaming him
Butters - 6 - solid, good to see him back.
    Martin - 7 - assured performance.
Hooiveld - 8 - great in the air all night, good instinct for the goal and a great left-footed strike from 25 yards tested the GK. Enthusiastic, you can tell from his interview.
Dickson - 5 - what has happened to the boy? Really rated him last season. Attacking minded and not too bad in defence I thought, a shadow of his former self this season. I'm guessing confidence/off-field issues.
Holmes - 7 - good first half performance, some great running out on the wing with half-decent crosses. Can't remember much of him 2nd half, might be down to the pints I had at half-time!
Schneiderlin - 7 - good performance. Didn't see as much of him as other people seemed to.
Chaplow - 8 - MOM performance, meant more to him to play against PNE and you could see that last night.
Reeves - 7 - great to see him start and play the whole 90. Thought he looked pretty decent, sort of a Gillet mold but with more potential. Needs to fill out a bit though!
De Ridder - 7 - lively most of the game but there were a few situations where he could have played the ball earlier rather than take on the second, third player. Not to detract from his overall game though, he had to get into those positions in the first place.
Forte - 6 - actually thought he started quite well, looked up for it. Faded in the 2nd half though.

    Forgot the subs.

Lambert and Fonte - both 6, had little to do when they came on.
Lallana - 8 - woke the team up with a bit of urgency. Caught PNE off guard for the winning goal.

Great substitution..showed his movement on Sky between coming on and scoring. Hope no one comes looking to buy him in January, because a machine-gunning often offends.

Bartosz Bialkowski - 6, did not look as composed as I've seen him.
Danny Butterfield - 6, looked like he needed the game.
Aaron Martin - 6 solid and dependable. Had no real threat to handle
Jos Hooiveld - 6 same as Martin.
Ryan Dickson - 5 not one of his better games. Again, in need of the 90 minutes.
Lee Holmes - 8 as impressive as always (on the few occasions I've seen him). Superb crosser of the ball and set up Lallana beautifully. My MOM
Morgan Schneiderlin - 8 lovely to watch. Breaking play up, pinpoint cross-field passes.
Richard Chaplow - 7, energetic and combative.
De Ridder - 6, showed flashes of inspiration but disappointing overall (first time I've seen him play)
Ben Reeves - 7, a good debut. A good prospect
Johnathon Forte - 7, pacey and looked a threat particularly in the first half

Adam Lallana - 8, instant impact with the goal
Rickie Lambert - 6, didnt do much (or need to)
Jose Fonte - 7, not much to deal with

Overall I was impressed considering the team we put out. First half we could have had 3 or 4 goals and were totally dominant. Second half we let them back in with a soft goal but once Lallana came on and instantly scored the second it was all over.
