    Saints Set Sail With Sunseeker

Saints are delighted to today welcome Sunseeker International as a new official partner of the Club.

The Poole-based luxury yacht manufacturer has agreed a three-year contract that will see it support Saints' journey in the Barclays Premier League.

The agreement will lead to Sunseeker branding being used on St Mary's newly-installed luxury dugout seats, which fans will get their first look at during tomorrow's game against Wigan Athletic.

With a philosophy based around the pursuit of excellence and a determination to break new ground, Sunseeker will prove to be perfect partners for the Club as we take our place among the country's footballing elite.

Nicola Cortese, Executive Chairman of Southampton Football Club, said: "I believe that our new partnership with Sunseeker is based on a set of shared values and beliefs.

"Both companies strive to achieve the very best, and are constantly seeking to cross boundaries into fresh territory.

"I am very much looking forward to working alongside Sunseeker over the next three years during what promises to be an exciting period for Southampton Football Club."

Sunny Thakrar, Finance Director of Sunseeker International, added: "This partnership gives us the opportunity to further the awareness of our brand to the global audience that the Premier League attracts.

"Southampton Football Club was a natural choice for us given their south-coast location and their promotion at the end of last season.

"We are very pleased to be a partner and look forward to hosting our clients from around the world at St Mary's."

Interesting to see Guly staring alongside Lallana. Many thought he would be a top player in the prem, thoughts of the boss and NC too?

So this would explain why I couldn't see the seats yesterday, I just knew they were buckets from the shape of them. Very well hidden!! But looking at them, I just feel they need a seat belt.... :)

Motorboats..! Yuck..! Sends a cold shiver down my spine.

Was nearly T-boned once by a Sunseeker. It wasn't a busy evening out on the Solent, so someone decided not to bother to stay at the helm. I'm sure they were just popping away to get a Gin & Tonic, as one does. Totally understandable of a motorboater, of course.

    Good for Saints though.

    "Boat snob"

    * Cortese probably just fancies a new little run around for up and down the Hamble on a Sunday afternoon.

Am I the only one who thinks these seats are a tad vulgar. Can't quite see Adkins wanting to sit in them for any period of time like some rich banker.

    Touched a nerve..? :)

If it hasn't got a sail, it isn't worth bothering with.

EDIT: As for the vulgarity of the seats, yes I see your point, Fran. It seems as it each club try to outdo each other, in the PL. Those big seats will take some beating.

Those sailing things used to get in the way when water ski-ing across the solent when I was a lad. The posh folks wouldn't wave back either when I flashed passed them.

Oh, I don't mind water skiers. It's the boats that pull them which are the problem. And don't worry about waving, I'm always waving and only about 50% wave back. Usually they're too busy thinking about what they have to do next to stop themselves from crashing into something or going aground. :)

I'm still thinking about taking up windsurfing - self powered water skiing..!

Never liked windsurfers since i was on the Rdjet and it had to divert to rescue one. It was so rough we were being thrown all over the place and the Redjet had to stay leeward (or something) to protect this guy in the water until the lifeboat could get there. After a few minutes I was so seasick i wanted him to drown so we could go home.

I can understand that. I had one go in a Topper when I was learning down in Calshot back around 1982. Bit wet for me, back then. Nowadays, I'd probably think they were great. A boat I must try one day is a Hobie Cat. Real fun stuff.

Some of you may recall this posting of mine from a few months ago:

    http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/143836-Is-our-dug-out-posh-enough-for-the-Premier-League

The poll results are quite interesting and I wonder if that will be reflected in the posts on this thread?

This afternoon I expect to see a member of the cabin crew (as I am not sexist I didn't the say Dolly with the Trolley or Stewardess) walking along the touchline pushing a trolley laden with drinks, snacks and duty free goods for those sat in the dugout.

I predict that my seat at St Mary's, instead of being cushioned & with the club crest embossed, will have splattings of pigeon poo and cobwebs as per normal.
