Would be interesting to see how much the Europa/Champions League paid as well.

To geeks like me at least.

Saw this. Wonder if it means he's going to sign a new contract. Not that I'm clutching at straws you understand

We'd be idiots to let him go...he seems happy enough, so perhaps he would sign an extension. Pelle says that Tad likes providing assists even more than scoring himself...unselfish player. H was linked with the so-called group complaining about Koeman, but he denied it and the group included JWP, so probably untrue.

Honestly, I don't think there was ever a problem with Dusan. It appears that he may have been going through a period of being slightly cheesed off and had a couple of less than harmonious moments with his Club and National manager. All completely blown out of proportion by the news media.

Ownership Owned by Katharina Liebherr, resident in Switzerland
Turnover 11th highest in League £114m, up from £106m in 2014

Income Match-day income £18m; Premier League and broadcasting £84m; Commercial £10m; Other £1m

Wage bill 9th highest in League £80m, up from £63m in 2014

Wages as proportion of turnover 70%

Profit before tax £15m, following £29m profit in 2014

    Net debt £48m

    Interest payable £2.8m

Highest-paid director Unnamed, £376,604 (Ralph Kreuger is the chairman)

State they are in: Steady and improved financial stewardship, and expectation-exceeding performances in the league – not what was direly predicted when the former executive chairman, Nicola Cortese, left in January 2014, followed by the manager, Mauricio Pochettino, and a clutch of prized young players. The owner, Katharina Liebherr, who inherited the club among the business interests of her father, Markus, when he died in 2010, appointed another chairman, Ralph Krueger, and the club has continued to flourish under Ronald Koeman’s management. The accounts show that Liebherr financially supports the Saints; she increased her loans to £33m, on which £1.6m interest has accrued.

The reports on other clubs are fascinating, especially United. They are paying large sums in interest and at the end of 2015 posted a loss. They have really been taken to the cleaners by their owners. Burnley and Palace have no debt and money in the bank. Our debts seem manageable and, as Rodgers has said, we intend to reduce them (though under no pressure from Katharina to do so). I was a bit concerned by the wage bill as % of income and we are in the top half for that, but not very different from other clubs.

Interesting, the amount of turnover of the clubs and who they are. As of end of season 2015:
    upload_2016-5-26_11-55-13.png
Leicester City at 104m are part of a block of 6 clubs down to WBA at 96m [missing clubs are QPR, Hull & Burnley]. What is interesting is that the clubs above Saints are all the ones that home supporters would clearly, then arguably accept as so-called bigger clubs. But just look how close the 5 are including Southampton. I suspect we leapfrogged Aston Villa this season [end of 2016], and they and Newcastle will now diminish in turnover dramatically; WHU will see their turnover jump because of their free stadium lottery win; Which leaves Saints and Everton who, until their new ownership this year, was possibly the biggest stagnating in the Premier League that wasn't actually wasn't heading for relegation.

The runaway joker in the new pack is Leicester City. Just what will this season's championship win do to their finances.? Should prove to be interesting.

Reminded me of his assist for the first goal against ManC at home. I remember at the time, listening to all the lack of pundit comments and how almost completely overlooked it was. I'll say it here, it was absolutely brilliant. He didn't just knock it into space. He looked to see where to put it right in the danger area in front of Hart. And he had the skill in that left foot to gauge it perfectly while running to keep the ball in before it bounced out of play. Probably the hardest of his assists to provide this season.
