There are at least 6 English CBs left out of this squad that are better than Mings (most are better than Keane too): Coady (How on earth he hasn’t been in an England squad is beyond me) Tarkowski Mee O’Connell Basham Dunk Hell i’m not even sure Mings is a better CB than Stephens.

You can see how it happens. Player thinks he has a better chance of playing international football for the Republic or some other country, so starts playing at youth level, before he realises he could play for his country of birth. He qualified through his grandparents, so his parents are English....as is he. Anyway the ROI can't complain....they have just lifted a youngster from the Northern Ireland team.

I absolutely agree. I’m old-fashioned enough to like our full backs being 2 and 3 as well! Strange that Vestergaard has kept the 4 shirt but Bednarek is still 35. Perhaps he likes it!

We haven't been able to get rid of any of our expenisve deadwood once again. Selling PEH covered KWP and Salisu. Not sure we'll be buying any others until we can get rid of some. It must be a frustrating position to be in year after year.
