I don't see why we can't just have a transfer thread ongoing instead of specific windows. There's always stuff to discuss generally anyway and it would be easy to avoid if that's what you wanted. Better than it going in a combination of here and PL thread imo.
Agree with this but its Chilco's forum so it will happen when he says so, even though there are plenty of transfer rumours to discuss already.
Its my pay day today so for me its the end of the month, whats the point in filling up various threads with talk of transfers when we could just have a transfer thread. I'm pretty sure the world won't end if you open one a tad early. Or as TLL says why do we not just leave it open all year long?
There's been one on the Liverpool thread since 2011. Mainly full of Saints players so maybe we should go there.
Made the serious error of asking...just do it. I got fed up with telling this to workmates. They'd say they asked for time off to go to the hospital/doctor and were turned down. I said never ask....if I had an unavoidable appointment, I'd tell my boss that btw I'd be late on X because I had an appointment. They never said no or tell me to cancel. Giving your boss the option to say no and he will invariably do so....don't give them that opening.
I did this with my boss regarding working new years eve: Told them I'd be relaxing the dress code and that I'd still wear a shirt but would be swapping tailored trousers for chino ones and shoes for plimsolls in case I want to go out at 10 when I finish. Her response was '"I don't give a **** as long as you turn up!"
Wayne Bridge was asked on I'm a celebrity get me out of here! By Ant & Dec "why do you think the public voted for you to do the trial?"he commemted "must be loads of pompey fans voting" ......
Anyone remember Austin Hayes from the late 70s? I didn't realise he had passed away very young, whilst still a player. I remembered him and I just found this article on him from this summer - 30 years after his death. Sad. http://irishpost.co.uk/the-fascinating-life-and-days-of-austin-hayes/
Yep, I reckon they own around 10 flats probably more in Ocean Village. I see Saints players loads around here.
A couple of years ago I was watching one of those 'doing up property' type of programmes. And they were looking at a flat in Ocean Village and remarked that it used to belong to SFC....so at that point we must have sold one or two. Perhaps just keeping a few as temporary accommodation.
Only talking to a non-football following friend about Ali Dia the other day [to his amazement], and I stumble over this article: Finding Ali Dia, The Man, The Myth , And Finally, The Truth: http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/fi...m_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-UK Apologies if already posted.
