Oh ok. Maybe a little bit sensitive TSS? I like Ralph but I'm also happy to joke about his use of lots of words. I haven't a bad word to say about him, but I'll have a light hearted moment about his numerous words and his self help, motivational style speeches (man after my own heart by the way )
Maybe. Just so long as we appreciate him in equal measure. When he first turned up we were all in post-Cortese mood and wondering what the hell this Canadian/German Ice Hockey bloke who called SFC the Southampton Saints was going to do. But he was an extremely quick learner who was definitely a nice bloke and he meant well, even though he seemed not to have a clue what he was on about, because he talked in such generalities. He was certainly feeling his way. Nowadays he's tightened up his subject considerably. He now knows exactly what he's here for [even he doubted that] and he's got a great handle on it now. For example, the Southampton Saints are now correctly referred to as The Saints [and it's not just a name, it's who we are - his words]. We're not just one of several Saints teams in the world, we are The Saints team. That might seem unimportant to some but it's a heck of a promotional tool. He's seen the importance that if Manchester are the United team, when others can be a United team, he's getting the word around that there's only one true Saints team. It's what he's here for and I suspect he's actually bloody good at it.
There is one word I would use to describe Ralph and it is the thing I Really like about him, above all else. POSITIVITY
You say that word and I think Nigel Adkins. It's a good word, and it applies to Ralph too, but if I had one word for him specifically it would be... UNDERSTANDING.
I bet JWP does a Ralph impression. Liking and respecting your boss doesn't mean you can't have a little laugh behind their back...it is the British way.
http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...-expects-middle-fingers-from-fans-gets-opposi http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/news/41075/ Koeman enjoying the respect shown by other fans in the EPL...saying that you don't get this on the continent.
I'll answer my own question: it is John Bond. No he wasn't with us, but this is a photo of the three of them arriving for a league managers meeting. Bond was managing Norwich at the time. http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-la...ton-football-club-and-john-bond-82939964.html
lol!! Though he has gone down in my estimation with his love of Disneyworld. Ah well, he was far too perfect before
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/southampton-star-jordy-clasie-can-6844150 Virgil praising Clasie and suggesting he can be better than Morgan. Be good if he was.
Pelle has hinted that he would like to return to Italy when his contract expires in 18 months. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1862/premier-league/2015/11/16/17380292/pelle-hints-at-southampton-exit http://www.whoscored.com/News/kf5qk00ds0qax4fchhixpa/Show/Southampton-star-hints-at-St-Mary’s-exit http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...missing-beauty-homeland-stay-south-coast.html We're going to need to sell him in the Summer then or we risk him going on a free. He's been immediately linked to Juventus.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...gular-football-Southampton-Ronald-Koeman.html Bertrand puts his hope of an England berth at Euro 2016 down to working at Southampton under Koeman, who allows him to express himself.
You don't need a kid believe me. We been loads of times with not a kid in sight .....well maybe the other half, and had a great time.
I remember the lame reaction I had when Koeman said he'd be getting Clasie in to replace Schneiderlin. I knew he came with a reputation but I didn't think such a physically different player could have such good potential. After watching him play in the last couple of games I can see it now. He's a little tiger who can spray the ball about very nicely indeed as well.
