Hi all! Early thouhts on our cup clash? Great opportunity to get a home 1/4 final game. Will Poyet field a strong side? Expecting us to rest a few. Should be a good game!

Its a good opportunity for Poyet to have a look at a few players who haven't played for him yet. I think there'll be a few changes with one eye on the city game. Places up for grabs though so Id expect plenty of effort from whoever is picked.

Looking forward to it and as you say its a great opportunity for a quarter final home tie.

It's a good chance for us to regather ourselves after yesterday's shambles.

There are a few players needing games, the likes of Mannone, Giaccherini, Brown etc.

I think it will be an attacking game as our crowd will need a sign of intent from the players and manager.

Long way for you lot to travel, midweek, so well done in advance for those who make it.

Do yesterdays red cards count in the cup. Good for us if Cattemole is out.

And us .... we can't afford to lose players in the first half to needless tackles.

Should be a very good game. Like the way you lads have assembled for the Premier League and hats off to your manager, you look a good side. Lets hope Gus has seen what he needs to have seen to pick our best eleven. Enjoy <ok>

MP has instilled real self belief in the players and even us fans. Have to say I've never been a big Poyet fan but hope for your sake he can turn things around.

Here's hoping <ok>.. Your man came in at the Adkins dismissal and I think a lot of people thought wtf. The man has put a good side together there and credit to him, so much for a manager not knowing the prem league..

The Blue bell, excellent little battle cruiser, The Maltings is good as well although the manager is a no nonsense fearsome bloke. never been in Brigantes.
Hunt out The House of the Trembling Madness (very close to the Evil eye lounge). Worth popping in purely for the name alone. Been down this weekend and quaffed quite a few nice real ales.

I d be amazed if the usual cart horses aren't playing. We have options but don't use them. Why not ?

I'm hoping we go for it being a cup match with nothing to lose! Makes sense being tight defensively in the league because every point counts.
