Had a £300 steak before which was pretty nice, but everything else I've tried I have been pretty meh about. May stem back to the way my mum cooked steak when I was a kid, didn't really like that so never bothered ordering it in restaurants so only ever had it her way. Seafood Anything that comes from the sea can stay there as far as I'm concerned. Can't even eat fish fingers
I went to Dubai for Christmas a couple of years ago and thought I would treat myself. Judging by the prices over there was probably the same steak you get at Spoons here
Here I was thinking the manager gave us an update about this but no. Instead we're talking steak! The transfer is going to happen I can fillet in my sirloins.
I like salmon and white fish (in squares or oblongs....no heads!!). That's it. Was brave and ate sardines in Portugal...the toilet became my friend. Never again. Prawns and lobsters are basically insects and shellfish are snails as far as I'm concerned. I do believe that food must taste different to different people because I cannot bear the smell or taste of fish. Now lamb. Yum.
Now the thread has gone meaty, surely we should ask @Beef if he has heard anything? Have we staked our claim? How likely is this - medium rare?
Read somewhere that "supertasters" often dislike seafood because they detect notes of sulfur that the rest of the population doesn't. Same with bell peppers...both things that I couldn't stand when I was younger, but thankfully I seem to have deadened my senses enough to enjoy them now.
I hate the smell of mangoes....smells like cats pee to me. I shudder when I pass it in the fruit and veg aisle. I mentioned this once and another woman nearly fell on my neck. 'Thank God', she said 'I thought it was just me.'
Don't think i've seen this get posted: http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ill-pushing-for-spartak-moscows-quincy-promes "Mauricio Pellegrino has confirmed Southampton are still "pushing" on a deal to bring Spartak Moscow winger Quincy Promes to St Mary’s. Sky Sports reported last week that the Saints were interested in signing the 26-year-old, but Pellegrino says any potential move is still a number of days away meaning that negotiations could roll on right up to Deadline Day on January 31. According to Sky sources, the player is keen on a move to England, but Spartak are holding out for a fee in the region of £30m."
