Celtic boss Ronny Deila has confirmed that they have rejected one bid for Forster, and that the one bid came from Southampton.
The BBC don't exactly make it sound like a deal is close. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28424379
Probably isn't at current. Hopefully Forster fancies linking up with his England coach, and getting a raise. Peter Lawell (Celtic Chief Exec) was on TV earlier in the season, and he basically said nobody is 'not for sale', but they won't let their best players go cheap. Interestingly, Celtic signed Craig Gordon a couple of weeks ago and they've already got Lukasz Zaluska too.
Yeah, everyone has a price. I also saw they'd signed Gordon, which is interesting, although I can't imagine they'd want to rely on him after he's gone 2 years without playing.
If anyone in the UK can get away with gambling on Gordon right now, it's probably Celtic, though. I think this'll happen.
A friend I know up there is a relative of one of the Celtic players and they've let the players know that because income is down that they will not turn down decent offers. Whilst Rangers have been out the picture they've had to cut costs. Obviously our initial bid was not seen as decent but I would be surprised if he stays there this summer
Did Fraser play tonight? Hope so, as Benfica were interested and that may put them off if he's cup tied.
Boruc is a good keeper...why would Koeman not rate him? However, we need another keeper, so why not go for a keeper better than the one you have, then let them feed off each other. We can,t survive with one keeper and back ups that you pray you will never need.
Either it's easy to say Koeman likes Hooiveld because he's Dutch so there's an easy link, or Koeman actually does like Hooiveld because he's Dutch so there's a terrifying link.
He definitely played last night and I think he did in the 1st leg. Van Dijk also played scoring twice so both are ineligble to play Champion's League for another team.
