    That's right, surviving with the Saints was much better than scoring in a CL semi-final. I think some Saints fans forget that he actually did play a lot of games for Chelsea and also a fair amount for England in that period.

    I saw an article online that said he was on £14k a week so I'd imagine it'd be around that figure for Twente. About £40k for us I Reckon.

    Yep, you can't blame Bridge for being one of the first to join the Abramovich revolution. I think it's got lost over time that he signed before Ashley Cole and went there initially as first choice. He was unfortunate to certain degree that he lost his place, but he has a few medals he can show off too
