I'm a big fan of Song but...

both M'vila and Sahin are potentially better players.

Sahin was Outstanding for Dortmund and must be getting frustrated of his lack of playing time at Real. (Ozil and Kaka being preferred)
He's technically outstanding with a great range of passing and the ability slow down or speed up a game.

M'Vila is a true athlete. 6'2 robust and quick, He is also technically very skilled and has one of the best pass completion rates in the French league. He would give our team more defensive solidity although he is prone to crazy forages up the pitch much like the Cameroonian.

i'm pretty torn tbh. I definitely want sahin. Between mvila and song people say that m'vila is generally a pure defensive midfielder but that purely for the national team. For his club as you say he basically plays the same role as song marauding forwards though he is more diciplined and rarely gets injured. He has a great range of passing but lacks the dribbling ability of song and whilst possessing a great passing range i'm not sure about his vision.

I'd definitely prefer to keep Song. He's coming into his prime, he's a great player, knows the club, is settled and doesn't need a bedding-in period.

Along with him, I don't know enough about the others, but with M'Villa's widely publicised indiscipline problems I think I'd prefer Sahin based purely on what the press write (or don't write) about them.

appparently we are still in the hunt for him. Wenger's comment was intended to drive the price down. Don't forget sahin is also a defensive midfielder and wenger denied interest in podolski before signing him.

Yeah if we were to pick just the one I would go with Sahin.

He would be cheaper and he would help us (along with Carzorla) replace the creativity we have missed since Fabregas's departure.

Cheers! for those unfamilar with Sahin - this is a pretty good video.

I genuinely think If we add Sahin and Carzola we will be up there fighting for the title, regardless of the RVP situation.

Great video. I know it's silly to judge a player on a youtube video, but you have to say he does look impressive and his passing range is very good.

I've said plenty of times that Song can be easily replaced should we lose him.

If he goes and we bring in Sahin and M'Vila, that would brilliant.

I definitely think we need to add some creativity in midfield. Ever since we lost Fabregas and Nasri I think we've needed a player who can unlock defences. Arteta, Rosicky and Benayoun did well last season, but to be honest, none of them are players for the long term future of Arsenal.

Personal preference would be to sign Sahin, Cazorla and M'Villa and keep Song, but that may be slightly unrealistic. The addition of even one of them would undoubtedly strengthen our MF.

I do feel though that we'll struggle up front (at least initially) if RVP goes

I cant see us struggling up front at all to be honest.

Pod and Giroud will get a **** load of chances should we have Wilshere, Sahin, Carzorla on the pitch.

We could have one of the most creative midfields in Europe.

It all depends on how quickly the new players up front hit the ground running. If all goes well we'll definately have one of the best midfields in Europe

As far as I know, Sahin and Carzola aren't Arsenal players at the moment...

Piskie, you don't rate arteta? I'd agree that rosicky and benayoun are not much to shout about but of the 9 PL games arteta didn't play last season we only beat WBA in the last game of the season and it has to be said that their goalie had a shocker. He seems like a pretty vital part of midfield to me...?

PISKIE didn't say he didn't rate Arteta but that he was not one for the future.Given Arteta's age you would have to agree that's true.Arteta is still a ****ing good player though and i hope we get a good few years from him yet
