We were safe after Wigan IMO , I don't think 18th place will reach 34 points !

No chance, Breezy. Don't think Rodgers will take any risks. Remember, each place in the Prem means an extra £900,000 give or take.

Not wanting Situ & Obeng to start games aussie , but if were late in a game & were going to win or lose for sure , I just want them to go out & get there shins kicked by some of the best in the world for a handful of minutes ... especially Obeng

yea we are most certainly safe now it would take a massive change of fortunes for us to be relegated now and with wigan and wolves virtually booking their places on their own then there is only one place left. we have more chance of climbing the league if we carry on like we are....

Welcome back dai there were a few on here missed you and some feering the worst i think <laugh>

I dont think it`s a problem to play some of the less used players if it is when a win or loss is inevitable in a game thus not risking ££££ per final placing.

Also is it now safe to speculate whether any of the teams likely to be relegated have any decent players that will be available/offloaded that could suit our style/club ???

They've got enough dosh to pay inflated wages to make sure they come straight back up, Breezy. Remember Newcastle?

Not as much as I remember the Wolves , hope I'm talking about the same thing you are aussie . I'm talking one guy coming on for 10 or so minutes , not 3 weird changes to let the Wolves back in the game .

Not just safe but cruising. Seriously good job. 7th or 8th might be a possibility if you keep going.

there is a massive difference between the toon and qpr though, the toon is a big club and qpr are the smallest in the premiership, if they go down then they will stay down imo, sparky will walk and they will lose their best players, this is their only chance while they are here.....blow it and they will slip down to also rans in the championship....

Well I wouldn't mind seeing Wigan go down, they are ****e and have been all season , if Bolton and Wolves go down as well it would complete the picture of players leaving us and failing big time.

The three i would like to see go down are

Wigan- because martinez is a cock.
QPR- Because if they survive this season they will be strong next season IMO.
Wolves- Because they are a bit more financially stable than other teamss.

Bolton and Blackburn both have massive debts that are weighing the clubs down, if they survive this season their problems will still continue next season, with financial climate the way it is it could mean they have to sell players in the summer, thus making them weaker !

Agree with Norway on this one! My whole reasoning behind a team getting relegated or staying up is decided purely on how much 'easier' its made for us next season. And although I dont particularly like Martinez, I want Wigan to stay up because apparently rodegella (or however it's spelt) is off in the summer and I can't see tenner really strengthening with bobby at the helm. Qpr, wolves and Blackburn to go down - I think if they sack kean they will do considerably better next season.
