I'd imagine they will do it at some point. Doubt they will be enough time for this season though. They could do a couple of the blocks in the North stand that are harder to shift.

Then again I suspect that, unlike me, you don't have a bad back, two hip and one knee replacements and stand at about Five foot Seven inches. (In days of old, when I was Five Foot eight inches, the person in front was always Six foot Six Inches!!!!):emoticon-0120-doh:

No objection for those who want it, as long as it's not the only option available.

Prefer to sit due to a back issue, but wouldn't be against standing if I had something to lean against.

Think it's a no-brainer for the club to install rail seating in the Roker End

Aye its not for me as I go with my dad but would be perfect for the South Stand.

Haven't seen anything about the allowable ratio of fans standing per seat. Have seen 1:1, 2:1 and even 3:1 in use abroad.

If they can get 2 standing per seat that would be great for clubs, increasing attendance and revenues. Imagine rail seats at away games doubling the availability of tickets!

For all these reasons I bet only 1:1 is allowed :emoticon-0101-sadsm
