What a sad day. I remember a number of years ago now waking up before going to Loftus Road. It was the 9th May 1999, and we were playing Palace. Maybe it was because I was a teenager, maybe because it was a lower league, but I was excited and full of hope that day. The mighty Rangers delivered, I need not go in details on here, but it was awesome.

I was reflecting on that day this morning, and it made me sad. 16 years ago I had hope, today I have none. Yes we are in a higher league, playing better opposition, but that isn't what makes me sad. That day, I went knowing that Ludo, Maddix, Peacock and Super Kev to name but a few, would give their absolute all for the cause...and they did. Today, I expect many of our higher rated, underachieving players to continue their sub par performances, and then move on in the summer, leaving QPR behind to deal with relegation and all that might go with it.

This is perhaps a rather miserable thread to start, but I enjoyed reflecting on that day in 1999, it epitomized what QPR is all about, and my hope is that relegation this time will take us a step back, towards those days when players played for the badge.

We are Qpr fans...... If we didn't look back on great days in our past with fondness how else would we raise a smile and carry on? :)

Just rewind back 50 weeks or so to remember what it felt like to win at Wembley, that normally has me grinning from ear to ear. ...

Sod the doom and gloom. :1980_boogie_down:
