I'm sorry but we were never going to beat man utd so what was the point? Only plus the club must be looking at is that the honeymoon period of a new manager keeps us in the prem, I can't imagine that Ellis new before the game regardless of the result he was gonna sack as a replacement would of already been lined up

 

Not sure it was the defeat mate more a case of the way we played, players should be shot with ****.

 

It might have been decided a couple of weeks ago and Short waited until he'd drawn up a shortlist of suitable replacements. 7 games left is better than 4 or 5.

 

If the only plus of getting someone in is a honey moon period were we pick up some points and stay in the prem then I will take that all day long thank you

 

My guess is Short started looking for a new manager after the Embarrassment that was the Norwich game. I don't think today's game has anything to do with it

 

That was indeed horrendous but I think he may have started making enquiries before that.

 

I keep harping on about this but the writing's been on the wall since QPR at home.

so angry right now. when will we ever learn some patience? this will be another new manager, another season wasted next year, another few transfer windows of ins and outs by the bucketload..

MON will go on to another club and do fine, like Bruce has. and if we chase out players like Johnson and Sess, or even the likes of Bardsley, they will also go on and flourish elsewhere. We seem to get rid of managers/players because they "aren't good enough for a club like ours" and then they go elsewhere and finish above us anyway.

 

So everyone is hoping for a honeymoon period?

Got to say, looking at the Sunderland posts, you guys really are fanatics up there! On that alone, you deserve to stay up at Wigan's expense.

 

How I wish the players cared us much as we do wouldn't be anywhere near this position

If Wigan stay up surely they need to invest. It's the same thing every season for them
