SC: "Ryan Taylor isn't with us today. He could be signing for another club, we'll wait and see." Andy Stockhausen ‏@AndyStockhausen 58s Steve Cotterill reveals one more player to go out after Ryan Taylor, but names no names!! We've also had 2 bids for a winger rejected but SC still working on bringing one in
Not sure what to make of Taylor. Never had a run of games, either through not being selected or injured, hope he doesn't come back to haunt us.
Was unlucky with injuries but never really did quite fit in- I did expect more to be honest given his partnership with Le Fondre at Rotherham. A relative of mine is a big Millers fan and did say that he had the potential to do very well. For me, he wasn't amongst the goals as much as a forward should have been. He had his good points but with our current forwards, you can see that he is getting pushed further and further back, so him moving on doesn't come as too much of a surprise.
Always seemed to be injured. 2 goals in 40 odd appearances. Not good enough. No great miss once gone.
Still feel he could have been a very good player if he had a run of games (whether through selection or injury) but I could tell when SC took him off during his first game here his days were numbered. (in all fairness he was poor in that game.!) Shame, cos if Red Robin thinks he's crap, he's obviously going to be a very good player!
My usual afterthought is that SC doesn't feed us rubbish about his intentions he just get on with the job, and how refreshing that is after the years of all talk and no walk.
Nicky Shorey off to Pompey for free? Good riddance by all accounts from our posters and yet another poor player to go down in the annals of Bristol City wannabes.
I think given a run under his belt he could of been a good player for us, and still think we look better with him alongside Baldock. But he gets fit then injures himself again, he did score a cracking goal at Burnley as well. Like a few have said this one could come back and haunt us. And Red Robin, after those countless threads regarding how super SoD was going to save us and take us to the moon. I don't think I will take your Judgement on anyone seriously again
BBC Solent Sport ‏@solentsport 1h #pompey trying to secure signing of Bristol City striker Ryan Taylor in next 24 hours, we understand

He looked ****e against Tamworth. He's had plenty of chances, Think he had a run of 10-15 games at the beginning of last season, him and Stead upfront. Truth is he's a L2 player at best
Bristol City FC ‏@bcfctweets 3m Breaking News: #BristolCity striker Ryan Taylor has left Ashton Gate to complete a move to Portsmouth.
Didn't think he looked interested either. Body language showed a bit, and it was on TV. 2 goals in 42 games is not striker quality. We have players in our back 4 as good as that !
+1 Hope he does well at Pompey but wouldn't be at all surprised if he is looking for another club next summer....
What the run when we had one of our best starts, and people was thinking we were dark horses for playoffs??
